investigating Hornet's Slow-State Energy Bleed?
Svend_Dellepude replied to wilbur81's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
You don't need to pull the paddle to win in a D/F in the hornet. Don't fly it like the F-16. F-18 likes to be slow. So when the fast guys want's to accelerate just send a missile up their a**. Btw: Jetstream is excellent! -
Not with the game right now, but i seem to remember that there is something about wind on the HSI/ DATA/ A/C page that shows a heading but no speed when no wind is present in the mission. What happens if the windspeed is something else than zero?

You are not really being very helpful.

need track replay Trim issue when landing on super carrier
Svend_Dellepude replied to pixie's topic in Bugs and Problems
This. ^^^ Users have reported the exact same several times before and pressing the paddle should solve this. If you only uncolonize the autopilot mode, you will only disengage that mode, but not the autopilot. -
I tried it, but couldn't make it work. It will be vertical at 2 headings . in gulf map its. around 30 and 210 dgs. But the bombs will then miss long or short.

It's like updating a piece of software have become the most important thing in the world. Sure I love as much as anyone to have my favourite flight sim updated, but I don't need 2 days heads up.

Maybe not, but If you would be so kind, to create a new mission based in 1981, place a vehicle of your choice, then grab an F-18 with some dumb bombs, fly around for minimum half an hour and then try to land a bomb on the vehicle based on the CCIP solution the FCC gives you. This is not about elevation data but lateral displacement of the CCIP +.

I did read your comment and to be honest i don't think the issue is as deep as you make it up to be. The problem is basically that the + is tied to the drift of the INS, which it shouldn't be. Maybe has something to do with how F-18 calculated ballistics before INS was a thing or simply a bug. When you lock things up with the radar, the drift is gone and you now get the correct position on the ground, which shouldn't happen because AFAIK the radar only knows it's position from the INS.

Did you read the thread from the start? What ever features you are talking about has nothing to do with what this thread is about.

Why is LTD/R automatically switching back to OFF
Svend_Dellepude replied to sirrah's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Just bind it to a latched switch, then it can't turn off anymore. -
Natops says that you should or you might not have full stab movement available. Dunno if that is the case in DCS currently. On a turnaround though, pressing T/O trim centers yaw and roll trim, if any present.

solved No role payloads on Mission Editor/ only AIM-9M available
Svend_Dellepude replied to Muas's topic in Bugs and Problems
Just rename the existing one and a new one will be created next time you start DCS. You can then exit DCS and copy the files you need over to the new folder. -
Using the T/O trim should remove any guess work and set the A/C to takeoff when it's ready. You still get sucked to the ground under certain circumstances with the current FM, but hopefully that will be fixed with the revision.

External tanks doesn't transfer fuel to internal tanks, but instead fuel from external tanks goes directly to the engine even if you only have 200lbs of internal fuel. Is this how it should be, or did i not press something in the cockpit.

Gotcha. Just a question: You say that mode change shouldn't change the LDDI, then what happens when going from A-A to A-G if you have AZ/EL selected?
-
Almost. If you have the HSI on the right, SCS right will toggle between HSI and SA. I guess i shouldn't.

Use the script editor to program the following: MapKey(&Throttle, SC, TEMPO( DX21, DOWN+ DX21, 400)); This way dx21 ( can be any dx button) is pressed and held if you press and hold the nipple for more than 400ms. You can now slew like normal even with realistic checked and the press and release to designate.

There was another thread about this in here somewhere where someone stated that although you are not able to program the DDI's, they shouldn't change on their own, meaning that every time you enter a mode it should be the same as it was when you left it. Dunno if that's true or not.
