Setting up ATIS on standalone server
BaD CrC replied to Yeti42's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
Guys, I just cannot find Google text-to-speech API in the list of API restrictions of the API key I created. The closest is Google cloud APIs. What am I missing? Also, when checking the log file in the options/special menu of DATIS, I can see no DATIS logs created in the saved games/DCS.Openbeta/Logs. So I don't even know if DATIS is launching. The thing I know for sure is that nothing happens on my dedi when running the DATIS test mission and when I tune my UHF to the frequencies set. The SRS server is running on the same PC than the DCS server. I can see no connection being triggered when I jump in the miz. -
It's just that killing a Gazelle is such a shame that it shouldn't be credited at all (even more when it comes from FWingers just having fun comfortably sitting at 35000 ft playing with their technological toy) . This is perfectly fair. :)

Since when is it possible to fly with VR Controller?
BaD CrC replied to unknown's topic in Virtual Reality
News for me. How did you switch from the chopper controls to switches activation? I guess this should go into input/output / VR -
New DCS Gun AI effect ground vehicles?
BaD CrC replied to Opalias's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
I hope not. Before the AI tweaks, any AK 47 could take down an entire Mi-8 very easily. I hope they did not improve. -
Ageing legacy 3d models - Will they all be overhauled?
BaD CrC replied to Konovalov's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Sh60b is the first that comes into my mind as ugliest 1990 looking model, followed by the ch53. I just can t decently use them in a mission. But yes, sure they mist be so much more. -
Discord+SRS for BSD. Discord is working pretty well and in addition to voice, we often have one or two members streaming the mission and it is also working great. Very easy to use. SRS, very easy to use too, autoconnect feature on SRS server when jumping on a DCS server. Ciribob is doing an awesome job on maintaining it as soon as a new module comes out.

UNDO/REDO Lasso type selection of units Possibility to move around multiple selected units at the same time More FARPS that can elegantly integrate into the wild with desert, grass and concrete skins More cargos (bambi bucket, antennas, artillery, small vehicles) Possibility to refuel/rearm anywhere within a defines area on the ground LOS calculation for any ground unit with topography taken into account Detection of flat surfaces suitable for RW operations Option to hide all allied units on the map while keeping the allied aircraft visibles on the F10. Working embark/disembark in MP Working Remove objects in MP Decent briefing html editor with large pictures inclusions, links, ...)

Wrong thread joojoo. You should post there: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=46

Hi Ariyaner. Not the good thread. You should go there: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=46 P.S: Anything less than 16Gb will make your PC struggle with DCS. P.S 2: Precise if you want to fly VR or not. Recommended conf will vary depending on this, mainly for the GPU. PS 3: Concentrate on super fast CPU, that's what matter most with DCS.

PG. Hands down.

OH-58 Exclusive Helisimmer.com interview
BaD CrC replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Polychop said that you won't be able to use the M-4. -
Love this chopper too. The AI model in DCS is already pretty nice. If ASW operations could be implemented in game (with subs, torpedoes, sono buoys, depth charges,...), the Ka27 would open a new world of RW operations.

Awesome! So excited right now. -
Why are the most unrealistic servers the most popular?
BaD CrC replied to Boris's topic in Multiplayer
If you want to fly some realistic MP, you just don't jump on public servers, you are joining a squad. -
Don't want to be the party pooper here, but are you guys sure this belongs to the Ka50 thread and not the whishlist for DCS 2.5?

Polychop Simulations OH-58D Kiowa
BaD CrC replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
We should give credit to Polychop for their new communication strategy with the users. They also publicly admitted that the gazelle FM did not meet everyone's expectations and that they are working on improving it. So let's not beat a dead horse now. Let's also keep in mind that developing a chopper is an order of magnitude more complex than developing a fixed wing. Few 3rd parties would face the risk of going after a niche market like RW sim considering the complexity of developing such a machine. The continuous Polychop bashing certainly deterred other 3rd parties to go into RW and as such it contributed to weaken the already fragile DCS RW community. By going forward with the OH-58D, Polychop is taking on a huge challenge: - the systems on the 58 will most likely make this chopper the most complex one system wise available in DCS. - unlike for the gazelle, there are a lot of people around that have IRL experience either on the 58 or the 206 and that also fly DCS. - they are aware of the multiple frustrations from Gazelle customers and they have no choice but to impress the community for this new module. Like most people here, I will not think a second to buy or even pre order this module (most likely several licences if multi crew is implemented) and I know for sure it will be a big hit in the DCS RW community as it combines several advantages from other modules: - like the Ka-50 it will hopefully have complex systems to learn and a long range anti tank guided missile capability - like the Gazelle, it will have thermal vision for night ops - like the Huey, it's a familiar and iconic chopper in the western hemisphere - if ED manage to correctly implement multicrew, this chopper is begging for this capability and we will have as many people willing to fly as people willing to operate the left seat. At BSD, we are expecting a massive surge of activity when this module is coming out and it is very welcome. We are already starting to study the official training program for this chopper and see what we will need to change and adapt in our current training one to integrate the 58 in our operations. -
Not that I don't want a new helicopter in DCS (I am actually desperate to see one), but the Mi-8 is already doing a great job at transport helicopter, and it can do limited gunship too. If we were to have some badass transport chopper, I would vote for the CH-53, and more preferably with an air refueling capability, parachute dropping and light armored transport capability (although this can be simulated through CTLD).

Maverick MFD export too dark (a10c)
BaD CrC replied to Deft's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It's not just for the A10. Pretty much all exports of displays through viewports are too dark: NS430, ABRIS, Shkval,... Most problematic is the NS430. -
STREAM DECK PROFILES LIBRARY

I think you are the only one so far complaining about the new fast zoom.

Hi Flappie! So what's up with the mbtiles or pdf version?
-
There is a dedicated thread for liveries here: https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=356 And ED needs to create an F-16 sub directory there. I guess not until all the official ones are out.

BaD CrC replied to Hawkeye_UK's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Welcome to our world guys! Lol! Choppers are at the bottom of the bottom of the priorities. 2 months for F18? We are counting in years guys for our bugs because of all the new fixed wings modules coming before. I don't feel sorry for you yet though. :)
