  1. Finally a good bug. Lol. What a shame to auto start such a fine chopper. ;)
  2. Hi guys, Thanks for having solved the problem of AI not engaging at all when server was running as dedicated with -norender option. During our last sortie, SAMS were indeed back into action but some of the units that we are using a lot, Infantry Soldier Insurgent, are still running around when engaged but are not firing back. Using Soldiers AK seems to be ok though. Can you check all the units in game to see if the correction was applied? I know it is not your problem also but several mods are not engaging either. It would be cool to share with the modders what needs to be changed. Thank you.
  3. Anything can control the external view. Keys, axis from any kind of controller, pads, you name it.... Just go to the controls tab and assign your controller axis to the different up/down/left/right moves in the view category.
  4. CEII is having a tendency to nose over when it goes into the grass. But maybe I wasn't holding my stick back enough.
  5. I can see multicrew for the Mi8 and the Huey as an amazing tool for teaching how to fly choppers. We are running a lot of trainings for new pilots at BSD and being able to sit next to the new pilot and see and almost feel what he is doing in the cockpit is priceless. We applied that while it worked in the gazelle and our IPs were enthusiastic. For a combat mission, we could replicate the real operations of a large military chopper by having the pilot on one side, and the second person assigned the role of cop pilot/navigator/crew chief and gunner. It would be an absolute blast. For the gazelle, there is no doubt that she really requires to pilots to operate in high threat areas. Having to switch from left to right when you are trying to jump from tree line to tree line or pop up from behind a building is borderline impossible.
  6. I think rotaries will always come last guys. Despite the fact that it was a chopper that really kicked off DCS, their is no doubt that the topgun wannabes are outnumbering us. But I hope that the experience gathered with the F14 for example will benefit some day for the choppers. Nothing else to do than wait and see.
  7. @Fri13, stopping the rotor by increasing the collective?? My instructor told me to just never do that ever IRL as you can't tell how slow is slow enough to not produce some lift. But maybe you have a different IRL experience?
  8. Don t know if this is your issue but we have seen an old MP sync bug back where ships would disappear for some of the players.
  9. This wake turbulence video is very impressive and as far as I know a first in PC flight simulation (can be wrong because I haven't flown any other sim for the last 10 years). DCS really shows the way for hardcore simmers. Congrats ED. Now, and I am glad I am not the first one to ask, we really need some love for our choppers. I don't know if wake turbulences of a FW affects a chopper taking off behind, but I would love to also see something happening when two choppers are flying above each others. I know RW is an order or magnitude more complex than FW though.
  10. Not on steam and still suddenly got fps cut in half without changing anything. Got 4 other pilots of my squad that reported the same issue. Something is real fishy here.
  11. You will find this a lot on MP servers, maybe not 100% of what you are asking but close. But it is all heavily scripted (CSAR, CTLD, ... scripts) as ED did not, as you said, included such things in the game.
  12. Yes, that's the idea. Always been like this. No FARP, no way to rearm/refuel.
  13. Even funnier. You can get stuck into trees on PG!
  14. The 2.5.5 compliant version is almost finished. I don't know if it will be released here though.
  15. Man how I love those familiar sounds. BST did really an amazing with this module when you can see the real thing!
  16. The fixed wing kids started to look a bit more closely to choppers when the mistral version of the gazelle appeared. Suddenly, the ducks were growing some teeth. But the gazelle is not the most popular chopper. I have some hope with the BlackShark 3 able to shoot some Iglas. That way, CAS operations will benefit a bit more from a AA cover, including some IR warning. But again, on public servers, there is little will or possibility to really work as a pack.
  17. To my knowledge, there are little to no public servers that are suitable to rw operations. Missions are thought for FW, and the RW is a later addition with no real thinking or knowledge of their operations. This is sadly not helping the development of DCS choppers as people quickly get frustrated by the kids taking down choppers in their f18.
  18. This update bricked my Rift S. Passthrough and touch controllers tracking shut off after a few seconds.
  19. Amazing work. Thanks! Two ways communication is actually interresting as it could be used to confirm the status of the command (like light on or off) and send or display radio frequencies. DCS_BIOS integration is brilliant anyway.
  20. You have a rudder?
  21. using these: https://widmovr.com/product/rift-s-prescription-lens-adapters/. Doing great.
  22. I am using widmovr lenses with blue filter option. Fits really nicely on the Rift S (https://widmovr.com/product/rift-s-prescription-lens-adapters/). They are manufactured in Poland and it takes a few weeks to receive them but overall they are doing perfectly their job. I used the same provider for my older Rift lenses.
  23. Disable the power management feature for all your USB ports in the Device manager (right click on each USB port/properties/power management and un check it). You'll stop to have those disconnections.
  24. Lol. That's what your wingman is here for no?
  25. Well, sure NVG requires skills... ;)
