password on authentification get not saved
BaD CrC replied to VTJS17_Fire's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
Same here for one of our server (using Azur's cloud hosting). No matter what is checked (remember login, remember password), when started it always ask for login and password. Would love to hear if someone got a solution for that. Thanks. -
And how would you expect the navigation system knows what the image file represents and where's your location is wrt to it?

Whenever I watch this guy's videos....
BaD CrC replied to Anatoli-Kagari9's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Can hardly say better than John here. The Mi8 FM is as realistic as it can be provided you are flying her in game as you would fly her IRL. The moment you are trying to do stupid things in game that would kill you IRL, then all the equations of the FM are probably starting to output some weird stuff. This is where the difference sits between a sim pilot and an arcade/video game one. Those guys trying to pull stunts in DCS choppers belongs to the second category. This has nothing to do with skills. We had a few guys like this who showed up at the squadron. They didn't stay very long. Once they finished doing their loopty loop in front of everyone and started to fly combat missions with us, they very quickly realized that they have a better chance to impress in Arma III than in DCS. -
Really nice pic. Thanks for sharing.

When everyone was telling "16Gb is more than enough for DCS", I went to 32Gb and never regretted it with maps like Syria or even PG sometimes. For my new built, I went for 64Gb since everyone is telling me that "32Gb is more than enough for DCS".

If your are comfortable with mods Segax, you should use Upuaut's helipads instead of the monstrosity FARP we have to deal with for 12 years . Several of those FARPS have a very small footprint (one is even invisible) and can be used as refueling points anywhere you want. Drop some vehicles like what was explained by fudabidu and you'll get a nice refueling/rearming point in this small clearing in the middle of the forest.

FRENCHPACK V4.9.1 Update on 27/04/2022

Apparently not Dimi. Are you using a free google drive? -
Has the minigun damage been nerfed in the latest openbeta ?
BaD CrC replied to Shadow KT's topic in DCS: UH-1H
Very interesting feedback @Hook47 . Thanks for that. At BlackSharkDen we are now working on the communication flow inside the cockpit and the art of using the M134 on the Huey thanks to this new multicrew capability. Sure our Huey pilots are already painfully feeling the difference between the previously super human AI side gunners who could pinpoint a guy with an AK47 at night in the middle of trees and shoot him with sniper level precision, and having a real guy behind the gun... But also, and correct me if I am wrong, the M-134 fired from the side of a chopper appears to be used more as a fire suppression weapon. The problem with DCS AI infantry, beside being pretty immune to bullets, is that they are also totally fearless and keeps shooting back despite being sprayed with lead. I wish there was a way to improve that. -
I am not flying in VR with the realsimgear Apache600.

We report bugs, but nobody seems to care.
BaD CrC replied to Crash *'s topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Because the F18 boys are making a lot more noise Crash. You can try ED Discord server also, but I almost guarantee you'll be ridiculed by the FW kids before ED even got a chance to read your request. There is no safe place for us there and admins are almost exclusively FW fans. Choppers pilots are such a minority among an already niche that your voice will not be heard. Sorry. We kinda learnt to live with that and hoped that anything corrected in the FW modules will eventually have a positive indirect consequence on the RW ones. BlackSharkDen Squadron - For RW only -
Who will win the race between the Mi-24 and the OH-58?
BaD CrC replied to Razorback's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
Lol, I believe you kengou! Anything in development at ED that is NOT a chopper will come first. Even an old WWII bomber. After all these years, it feels like devs are working on choppers only on their free time. (Mi24 was announced way before all those F-xx and the update for the Ka50 BS3 also way before the A10C II). -
Who will win the race between the Mi-24 and the OH-58?
BaD CrC replied to Razorback's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I don't think there is a race between PC and ED. PC was planning to release the 58D end of this year. I don't think ED made such statement for the 24. So it would make sense that the 58 will be ready before the 24. Now what could make the difference is that PC claims that their module will be in release state while it is not impossible that ED will release the 24 the same way they did with the 18 and the 16, vastly unfinished with many systems and weapons added as the patches were released month after month. I agree that the OH-58D will probably make more sense in a structured RW squadron (like BlackSharkDen.com !) were it is possible to have a cooperation between AH and OH, as well as OH and A10C (lasing). Mi24 will be more popular to people playing SP and those who enjoy shooting stuff up. Of course, no doubt it will be a big hit among squadrons in MP. For me, I will certainly buy both modules, even if they are available at the same time. And if the multicrew is available, probably several licenses in order to play on my DCS computers. Helicopters modules are so rare (a ratio of roughly 10 FW for 1 RW) that I will not have to make a choice. Of course, the fact that I don't fly any FW module (too easy and boring) help my wallet. -
GTX 1080Ti GPU at 99% high power usage in DCS.
BaD CrC replied to AH64D's topic in Bugs and Problems
Are you talking about GPU load or VRAM? Usually DCS is not using much GPU, much more the CPU, but it is using pretty much every bit of VRAM it can get. My 11Gb are filled 96% but GPU load is barely above 40% -
For those like Astralnut who are (now were) wondering who to contact, you can PM me or just go to the website or Discord server, following the links provided in the first post. Thanks!

Make sure you have the proper SRS export lines in your export.lua under saved games/DCS.Openbeta/Scripts as well as the Hook directory with the DCS-SRS-hook.lua file. In the export.lua you should have a line with pcall(function() local dcsSr=require('lfs');dofile(dcsSr.writedir()..[[Mods\Services\DCS-SRS\Scripts\DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.lua]]); end,nil);

cargo is hovering 30 feet above ground after unhook
BaD CrC replied to gofrm76's topic in Multiplayer Bugs
May I add my own complain link: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/englis...lingloading-ed Big Newy was kind enough to reply quickly, but I couldn't help feeling that, according to his answer, this years old game breaking bug affecting all the RW modules is pretty low on the priority list like pretty much everything RW. Let's not try to piss the F18/F16 guys off by delaying anything for them. -
Dear Ed. I just can t remember the last time MP slingloading was working. But it certainly counts in years. A few patches ago you claimed to have the floating cargo issue fixed. The next patch it was back. And now it is even getting worse with the cargos having no weight at all, making them fly like kites until the rope breaks or the cargo itself swings until it hits the chopper. Slingloading is an essential task for choppers. We can t just let it go while hoping that it will be fixed some day like we did for naval ops. Sorry for sounding a bit frustrated here but I had another mission ruined again by this issue tonight.

Oh ok, I though by "forgotten" models you meant the ones that haven t been updated since 2009 at least like the SH-60 helicopter or some of the russian civilian vehicles that are just looking like they are coming from a 1990' game.

Fantastic job Eight Ball (as usual). Another "why on earth isn't this into DCS by default" case. Thank you!

It happened before and there has been official (but failed) attempts to include some remarkable mods as official 3rd parties add-on (Caucasus textures, FrenchPack,...). But yes, as highlighted by everyone, ED is changing constantly their software and usually is doing a very poor job at communicating it to even their licensed 3rd parties. It also generates some frustrations with modders when, after a patch, they realized all their work has gone to the bin. So they just stop updating them and move on to other sims. Now, community content is critical for me in DCS. ED is so laser focus on fixed wings and their shiny/more profitable modules like the F18 that the actual official content for helicopters is a bit ridiculous. We have to deal with the same horrible FARP for a decade, troops transportation is broken in MP for years, MP cargo slingloading is funky at best also for years with limited cargo types and infantry AI is ridiculous. I just cannot imagine flying without a CTLD+CSAR script running on the background, having credible threats like Technicals, elements likes hospitals pads, wounded personnel, civilian people, IED objects, some decent cargos like artillery units and vehicles, and most importantly, decent looking FOB and FARPS with proper markings and landing pads that do not stick out 20 feet above the ground. Every thing that makes DCS world more credible at 200 ft/ 100kt, which obviously is no factor for the boys flying 35000ft/500kt.

Quand tu regardes l'overlay dans DCS et que tu appuies sur le PTT, est-ce qu'au moins tu peux voir que SRS transmet? (le canal selectionne passe en gras+blanc)?

When ED released Black Shark 1 in 2009, one of their promise was to provide with it the dev kit for cockpit builders. That's what kicked me into pit building at that time. 11 years later,... well, you know. Thank God, the community provided what was promised by ED and there are now wonderful tools to build amazing pit very easily. Kinda night and day from where I started where you had to figure out how to tweak the lua files to export displays and the export.lua file was a "terra incognita" for all of us.
