Grrrr. I thought I would try the HDMI tweak and restarting the rift gave nothing but a black screen, tried a repair and now its downloading 1.5Gb of software. Be careful what you wish for!!!

Hi trip I use 1.5 with the occulus tray tool. I reset the dcs exe and it's working again. Experiment till you find your sweet spot:)

The latest version does not seem to pick up on the dcs.exe for me for some reason

I don't expect this thread to last long but I am enjoying the VR/IL2 experience. I will try your tip of turning off sharpen image:)

Would you please let us see your video options before you go to fly the livestream so we can compare and contrast settings with our own kit and to see what settings are used during the stream. Thanks and hope thats possible:) Obviously with the caveat that its all subject to change

Go to the updates page in settings and there should be a link to enable the download for early adopters

I tried the game mode with NTTR yesterday without any noticeable loss of performance. The video capture works well but the colours seem washed out. May need to tweak some stuff:)

You need to drag your desktop taskbar to the right vertical as it conflicts with the lower buttons in DCS:) Also the tray tool is great for determining your settings with the performance option showing you headroom for the system. I have all the eye candy on and have 45FPS steady which is perfectly acceptable to me in NTTR and with the shadows on the world seems so much more real!

I like the new video capture and streaming features:)

I hope it will run the same as NTTR otherwise we will have to change settings when we change maps. Do you have Nevada ?

I made the first post when the L39 first came out. Its quite possible some of the presets have been changed afaik it also occured in the Mi-8 828 radio presets too

We now just hover to drop them now :)

sub 45 FPS but no less than 35fps with those settings and a PD of 1.1 will try without flat shadows and high visibility Without flat shadows and on high viz 45FPS solid on the huey quick start Nevada mission. Ultra shadows add another level to the city :)

2.0 for me definitely I have been testing with PD 2.0 with good results, 45 FPS though it does drop at times. Most of my flying is choppers so always low and slow:)

Also use the roll channel adjustments to roll into the wind slightly, epecially when your using the heading autopilot it will still move the course unless some roll is dialled in

My new settings as I slowly see at what point will the game bring my new card to its knees. Textures High Terrain High Civ traffic low Water High Visib range Ultra Heat blur off Shadows Low Cockpit 1024 MSAA 4x HDR off Grass full trees 8700 preload full AF 4x PD 1.5 45FPS at all heights in all modules except Mig21 Still testing but the difference between my 970 and the 1080 is night and day
