Extreme oscillations in motion after shuttle hook-up
Tom Kazansky replied to BrassEm's topic in Bugs and Problems
I see. With this thread running for 4 years now, I wondered how difficult it could be to implement a hotkey that just leaves the platform as it is and toggles it on again. But maybe I have no clue how the lack of movement breaks immersion. I hope I get to check out such a gear some day. -

Extreme oscillations in motion after shuttle hook-up
Tom Kazansky replied to BrassEm's topic in Bugs and Problems
Maybe a naive question, but is there no hotkey that pauses/disengages the motion of the platform? Just a work around for the occasions that trigger those oscillations, but it would stop the game and the gear from breaking. Couldn't this be implemented in both DCS and/or the platform's software? -
Flaming Cliffs 2024 | Supercarrier Updates | Launcher
Tom Kazansky replied to Graphics's topic in Official Newsletters
Will the Air Boss deck be optimised for VR in terms of usability, too? Nice new launcher btw. -
-
Thanks! Is this something ED can probably repair, for it seems it has to do with file dates, or do you need Razbam for a fix?

Doesn't look too good for June:

Well, I can confirm that Spud does not know me. Maybe trainers are much more interesting for people that have "flown" everything else for thousands of hours in 35 years of simming than for people who start simming? It is the limitation of performance envelopes that attracts me. And the quality of the DCS C-101 is outstanding. (Have all trainers in DCS.)

Another one of those here. I have so much fun with the C-101 and your campaign. So even after comming from the F-4E and climbing into the cockpit of this lovely little bird, I can't say it is less enjoyable than any other top module in DCS. Thank you for keeping up a great job of maintaining the aircraft and the campaign.

+1 One thing I want to add is the blast of having toe brakes. Never thought those would make such a difference but wow, the do (after getting used to them).

First ever DCS: F-4E Phantom II Feedback Thread - May 22nd 2024
Tom Kazansky replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Not a single crash with the F-4E here, but I've only used it with Caucasus and NTTR, so far (i.e. since release day) -
The art of MMMM: Mentally Managing Multiple Modules.
Tom Kazansky replied to Dangerzone's topic in DCS 2.9
Forgetting about some details of a module after a while is not only a disadvantage. e.g. I came back to the A-10C more than three times, and I always had to learn some procedures, systems and methods again. But every time it was worth it and the Hog felt even better and better, so I'm looking forward to coming back to my favourite modules after having had enough fun with the newer ones. -
had the same two days ago and can confirm what Flappie said:

lol, really funny. but what ever helps... thank you and @Mr_sukebe for your help!

same here. Maybe I misused the "Jester Context Action" key before I tried to get an A2G lock, but I saw it once (in the backseat), that Jester's video source was off, and not "Radar". I switched it to Radar manually, and everything worked fine.

now it's getting interesting.... coincidently, yesterday I had to exclude a F-4E file from my antivirus software to be able to run DCS. So I tested with AV off afterwards, and that reduced the spikes, but they were still there (with Foldable view unticked). Now I just tested your suggestion @Flappie and the spikes are all gone completely when I press that icon (which is selectable in Foldable view). I know that this icon displays all keybindings. So it should show exactly as many as unticking "Foldable view" does, but the difference is like day and night. How did you know Flappie? Are there any insights you can give us about the differences between those two methods of showing all keybindings?
