  1. And after that, never ever come again to the forums. It is not that is against the rules, and I wouldn't bother, I just wonder why those threads are started by new accounts that are never used again. There are other examples too.
  2. That would mean another button. I'd prefer a simpler solution as an option posted above. All of us that search the mouse pointer or don't even remember if we let it just disappear with time or turned it off by button don't remember it's position anyways. Otherwise there wouldn't be a problem to move it into sight. So why not simply let it emerge right in the center of the view whenever it is turned on again from either of the both off-states that are implemented? ED should test this and offer it as an option imho. edit: is there any use of the mouse pointer beeing able to be moved outside of the VR mask? Am I missing something?
  3. I wonder if this is again one of those 1st and only posts of a new account to keep us busy.
  4. In the sensors section of the controls are 2 bindings for brighter and darker. I have the German version so I don't exactly know the English terminology.
  5. Labels look good without saltwater in the air.
  6. Yeah, I've experienced a lot of strange up and down pumping maneuvers of the wingmen when the leading aircraft gets slow (but not too slow) these days. So I guess there is a good chance that after another ED AI update those guys will do everything right some day. Guess for a campaign creator most of ED's updates mean a lot of "excitement". I'm gonna move on to the next mission. Keep up the outstanding job
  7. Oh yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing those DCS community cinematics
  8. Ok... Then I suggest a solution to cast a shadow over an MFD by pressing and holding the right mouse button on its screen. For I wouldn't like to have another 3 or even 4 buttons to bind. Edit: this wouldn't break immersion even in VR because for a shadow you have to get one hand from the HOTAS and use it for this purpose in a similar way.
  9. The moments when I raise my hand to try to get a shadow over an MFD are those where I know that there is nothing as immersive as DCS with a VR headset. I like the idea with the head shadow.
  11. hi there, moving on with this awesome campaign, I ran into an issue in Mission 13 with the A-10C II (current stable version of DCS): After clearing all enemies (65/65, see screenshot) the 2 friendly AI Mi-8 choppers tried to land at WP "Pappa". Nearing their landing zone their formation got closer and closer, so that they even tried to fly above each other (observed from a close F2 external view), what got me worried. The next thing I heard on the radio from one of the choppers was "... I'm hit... going down.." and it crashed, what made the mission commander order the second one to abort the mission, and that Mi-8 headed away. The score-log-page and my observation show there was no enemy fire, in fact there were no enemies left since 3 minutes before. No, it says "Uzi 1-1 (Mi-8MTV2) hit Uzi 1-2 (Mi-8MTV2)" and "Uzi 1-2 (Mi-8MTV2) hit Uzi 1-1 (Mi-8MTV2)" at the same time, and that led to a crash of Uzi 1-2 and killed the pilot. See attached screenshot. It's not a gamebreaker, because I still got a score of 56 in the mission, but maybe it is something that can be fixed for an even better experience. Thank you! ( @baltic_dragon Love your campaign and this is definetly something, that came with AI updates, I'm sure. So no worries.) (It's German, so: "Treffer" = "hit", "KI bricht mission ab" = "AI aborts mission", "Pilot tot" = "pilot killed" "Abschuss" = "shot" "Absturz" = "crash")
  12. For VR I wish DCS would offer an option to center the mouse pointer every time the pointer is turned on from the off state.
  13. Thanks again, that's interesting news to me. I wish I could read those hours of use from my devices myself. Even more from those that I've replaced in my past.
  14. @TMP95 Are you on Steam or standalone DCS? Steam logs every minute from the start of the software. The Logbook of DCS only tracks from the moment you are airborne till you touch down / crash. Cold starts, training on the ground, mission editor, loading, flights before software crashes and multiplayer time* are not logged. (*don't know if this is still the case) I play DCS only in VR and when in VR, I play 99% DCS, but my in game Logbook (since I've bought my VR headset) is far ftom the logged SteamVR time. Really far. (edit: for the sake of completeness, the game logs time scale accelerated time, as game time. e.g. 10 minutes airborne in 4x scale means 40 min in the logbook.) edit2: please don't get me wrong, It is not that I don't trust your statement, but I definitely don't trust the logbook when it comes to DCS software time. It's not made for that.
  15. @M-FluxOk, but If you wanted to fly the same type if aircraft with your friend to show him how it works, you are better off with the trials. I haven't done trials since the authenticator update, but what takes more than 5 minutes to decide to use a trial or not? Am I missing something here? Wouldn't it be less complicated if ED simply charged you for the second trial after a free trial of the same module within 6 months?
  16. Are you aware that ED gives you free trials that cover your list of main goals for free?
  17. thanks a lot. ran today into the same issue. (TEW3, A-10C II, stable DCS) the chopper moves with like less than 1 knots after picking up Schaefer. I refueld while he "flew/crept" to the mosque and asked for support. I got back, neutralized all enemies and the chopper moved towards a mountain and disappeared. No crash, no entries/events in the Score-menue. also got 70 as the mission result. Still great campaign! Awesome experience with the A-10C II ! Very nice use of clouds! Great story and voice lines! Challenging loadouts, I like that! Can't wait to get into the cockpit again!
  18. You might wanna try different attack headings, higher altitudes and closer ranges to reduce those false locks.
  19. +1 And after that, show those hands and arms in multiplayer.
  20. So, some shadow and light here with a good outlook imho. Thanks for sharing your experience with Virpil support.
  21. Thanks for the updates. From your point of view, did this cable failure come from a bad quality of the cable or a coincidently wrong cable routing, i.e. do you think that such a failure will be avoided in the future by this repair?
