For VR I wish DCS would offer an option to center the mouse pointer every time the pointer is turned on from the off state.

@TMP95 Are you on Steam or standalone DCS? Steam logs every minute from the start of the software. The Logbook of DCS only tracks from the moment you are airborne till you touch down / crash. Cold starts, training on the ground, mission editor, loading, flights before software crashes and multiplayer time* are not logged. (*don't know if this is still the case) I play DCS only in VR and when in VR, I play 99% DCS, but my in game Logbook (since I've bought my VR headset) is far ftom the logged SteamVR time. Really far. (edit: for the sake of completeness, the game logs time scale accelerated time, as game time. e.g. 10 minutes airborne in 4x scale means 40 min in the logbook.) edit2: please don't get me wrong, It is not that I don't trust your statement, but I definitely don't trust the logbook when it comes to DCS software time. It's not made for that.

@M-FluxOk, but If you wanted to fly the same type if aircraft with your friend to show him how it works, you are better off with the trials. I haven't done trials since the authenticator update, but what takes more than 5 minutes to decide to use a trial or not? Am I missing something here? Wouldn't it be less complicated if ED simply charged you for the second trial after a free trial of the same module within 6 months?

thanks a lot. ran today into the same issue. (TEW3, A-10C II, stable DCS) the chopper moves with like less than 1 knots after picking up Schaefer. I refueld while he "flew/crept" to the mosque and asked for support. I got back, neutralized all enemies and the chopper moved towards a mountain and disappeared. No crash, no entries/events in the Score-menue. also got 70 as the mission result. Still great campaign! Awesome experience with the A-10C II ! Very nice use of clouds! Great story and voice lines! Challenging loadouts, I like that! Can't wait to get into the cockpit again!

You might wanna try different attack headings, higher altitudes and closer ranges to reduce those false locks.

Keybind hint: There is a "general" entry in settings\controls where you can save general keybinds like views and others for all of your input devices. To get those to work with a new module/aircraft you want to load those general bindings into the controls of your new aircraft before you start binding the rest of the keys. Modifiers need to be added for each module, even if you got them saved in "general". (This also helps Pro's after buying a new HOTAS with setting up each of the dozens of aircraft.)

Can you tell us about the performance difference between 4x MSAA and DLAA?

An addition to this subject: the ARC-210 (in my current stable DCS) does something, that contributes to the confusion with AM/FM: when programming the mission frequencies with the MFD/Comms/ARC-210 page, it automaticaly gives a frequency of 144.4 the FM tag and a frequency of 133.0 the AM. I don't know why. So I changed the FM to AM by the modulation-OSB on that page and everything was fine.

Was a Saitek X52 (later Logitech X52) user for more than one decade. The step to Virpil, especially to the WarBRD-D base was as huge as the one from 2D pancake to VR. It doesn't only make sim flying "easier", no, what it does is, it let's you "fly" your aircraft like it is meant to be. Because of 2 things: 1. The center position: My X52 has a center position that requires a small but recognisable force to get over it. So small changes around it feel... unrealistic. A real aircraft does not have that. That leads to the wrong style of hunting the 100% correct trim for the center position. With the Virpil base, there is no recognisable force needed. I actually had to put a 12mm book under the front stand of the base plate to prevent the stick from moving forward by its own weight. The benefit that comes with this is you fly the plane all the time and only trim when it feels uncomfortable. It feels great! 2. The curve of the force With the X52, after getting the stick out of the center, the required force is quite small and constant, so you don't feel the amount of deflection. With the Virpil base you feel it. It is not that you need very much force, no, the curve is such that you feel exactly where you are. After 3 days my flying style changed completely. Now I feel a difference between 8° and 10° of climb. Getting the nose up on take off now let's me observe and control the AOA indicator. Feels funny. Holding the nose up after touchdown is like: "what do you want, 10° or 12°? Here you go." And yes, it makes AAR much easier, and now I understand why real pilots say it is easier IRL. (DSC still lacks some physical feedback that would make it more realistic, but that's another story) So the new HOTAS changed my life. And I even find myself touching and moving it for some seconds when my PC is off. You see.. (It was expensive but it is worth every cent)

I love training missions in DCS. Coming back to a module after some time is best with those. Thank you @myHelljumper for your very much appreciated effort. I'm looking forward to sitting in the M2000C cockpit and learning all that new stuff.
