Thanks. I'm thinking about a quite similar HOTAS upgrade. To me the F-16EX stick with the FA-18/A-10 throttle seems to be the most versatile solution. But a Viper stick with a Hornet throttle is something still too odd to come to a satisfying decision.

"Orion" is just the name of the base(s). The F-16EX stick has more hats than any other stick, afaik. Are you talking about the FA-18 stick?

I accept each opinion that has been posted here. I just want to add, that this DCS forum is the most neutral forum of all that I saw in these difficult times, so far.

Wenn ich den bis jetzt mal kurz zusammenfasse, sagt BigNewy, dass wir uns keine Sorgen machen müssen, so lange nicht an unserem eigenen Standort das Internet plötzlich (und für länger) aus geht. Es wird gerade diskutiert, wie es ist, wenn man sich an einem solchen ort befindet und den offline-mode noch nicht an hatte beim Ausfall. (Wär natürlich schön, wenn DCS dann automatisch in einen SP-spielbaren offline-mode wechseln würde, aber das ist nur ein Vorschlag meinerseits.)

Meines Wissensnach gibt es keine zeitliche Beschränkung des offline Modus (mehr). Allerdings gäbe es bei der Neuinstallation natürlich unlösbare Probleme.

Ok. I used to test the accuracy of bombs by enabling unlimited weapons and pressing active pause. If the center of the circle of (many) impacts is off the designated point on the ground then it's a problem of DCS. I don't have results of current DCS version though.

This. At least for JDAMS you should expect an accuracy of 7m to 13m IRL according to Wikipedia.

Are you sure the target is 90 km away? It seems odd to fire from that distance with such a huge off-boresight-angle.
