  1. That makes sense

    DCS : F4U-1 Corsair

No money has exchanged hands so they owe nothing. For all I care, they could be developing it in secret and only announce when it’s ready for sale.
  3. I think there's a little more involved than that, but I also know there's no point in discussing it.
  4. Why the F-102?
  5. I never said to use the paddle or not, so I was not gatekeeping. I was merely pointing out that performance using the paddle is not realistic, but rather a gaming technique.
  6. Yep, been seeing this in the dogfight servers for years.
  7. Your logic is impeccable and super-duper convincing. We’re foolish to only pick and choose certain aspects of military aviation to simulate. Or more concisely, if we can’t simulate everything, we should not expect to simulate anything. Come to think of it, with that new direction, ED can eliminate their short-sighted requirement for extensive “public data”. “Throw away the EM diagrams, boys, cause we don’t need ‘em anymore!” I simulate they’re U.S. Marines. Over-performing is the minimum.
  8. lol If you want to compare those administrative tasks with overperforming the jet so that it flies and fights like no jet that's ever existed, knock yourself out.
  9. You should read this thread if you're thinking about buying a Reverb
  10. You've made me curious. What does this refer to?
  11. Yep. “Amateurs talk about tactics, but professionals study logistics”
  12. Sure, but you were joking about requesting a trim speed change in the present tense not prior to 1997.
  13. Sure, put in a request to McDonnell Douglas Boeing and I’m sure they’ll accommodate you. (Fixed it for you )
  14. Interesting. I use F10 all the time and don’t experience this.
  15. It also temporarily overrides the g-limiter It's only a "cheat" if there's a rule against using it.
  16. It doesn't count because using the paddle does not reflect the actual real-world performance of the jet. In other words, if you want to play a game, use the paddle. If you want to fly a simulator, don't. It really is as simple as that.
  17. Fair enough
  18. You were speculating on the release date, but you also wrote, "Clearly, there is a lot of work to do yet before release." I was asking how you came to that conclusion.
  19. Why is that?
  20. Mover has actually said exactly this on numerous occasions. Maybe not so much "flying badly", but not flying like it's for real. Personally, I just assume they don't spend enough BFM time in DCS to get good at it in the game.
  21. Yes, here is the planned EOL timeline
  22. No, because it isn't available for pre-order on Steam yet.
  23. It doesn’t have an internal gun, and I don’t think it carries a gun pod IRL.
  24. You should let them know. They may not understand that.
