Can you share that email? I don’t see where I received anything like that.

Your first point makes sense for headsets sold prior to the announcement by Microsoft. After that it's difficult for me to believe they can continue selling the product without informing the purchaser. But again, as I said, I have no idea what the law actually says. No one here has claimed to actually know the applicable laws for this situation. I am happy to be shown I'm wrong if that's not the case.
-
That remains to be seen. The website only says "out of stock"

I asked the question on HP’s Reverb G2 store page (see attached pic) We’ll see what they answer.
-
Maybe, maybe not. No one here seems to know the law so time will tell

Have they officially announced it being discontinued? I’m not a lawyer but selling new product knowing it’s going to stop working in less than two years seems to me like a form of fraud. But like I wrote above, it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. For the record, I own a G2 also.

On a positive note, people relying on WMR headsets should be okay until Nov 2025 as long as they don't update to Win11 24H2. It looks like security patches will be supported for 23H2 until then. See here: Windows 11 Home and Pro - Microsoft Lifecycle | Microsoft Learn

It will certainly be interesting to see what happens because HP has not discontinued the Reverb G2, and although it is "Out of Stock" in their online store they still give the impression it will be available for sale after it's back in stock. In the end it's difficult for me to imagine a EULA that would protect HP for sales made after Microsoft officially informed them about dropping WMR. Personally, I would be surprised if HP isn't already working on alternative software, if only through a third-party.

According to the linked page below 23H2 will continue to receive security patches until 11 Nov 2025. So it would seem WMR users should be good until then as long as they don't update to 24H2. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/products/windows-11-home-and-pro- 50 replies

First In, Last Out! F-4E Wild Weasel Trailer and Manual release!
Cab replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
That’s why NATOPS manuals are called “the big blue sleeping pill”. -
There’s a lot to argue against in your list, but this one made me chuckle. I have never understood why some people get so worked up over getting rammed. Overall I’d suggest you should just start your own server.

It would help to know what message you’re seeing when trying to login

Any chance of making the Mirage F1BE a recon jet in a future update?

I think you meant the AIM-9 -
DCS opens in MT when I use the default start icon in the Eagle Dynamics folder in the Start Menu apps list.

I don't think it's necessary to update the file in the ST bin folder if DLSS isn't available to select in ST.

Where's the MFD?

Taking this post in the context of the entire thread, I am truly speechless. -

Okay, thanks. And it isn’t that I don’t trust you, it’s just that we disagree on this. I stand by the opinion that the F-5, as it is right now, would be considered completely unsafe and unsuitable for flight, let alone combat IRL. There just aren’t any airplanes in the air that will break so dramatically performing their designed tasks. Considering the dramatic g excursion I demonstrated, I think this is one case where the onus would be on ED to provide evidence. Are there any recorded incidence of F-5 wings ripping off? Were the pilots of the 20 countries operating it just so well trained and disciplined that they avoided the problem? Has any SME verified the jet needed such careful handling to remain within the operating limits and that wings breaking off was a real consequence they lived with? Other than all that, I really don’t know what else can be said. The F-5 module is very popular in Enigma’s Cold War server because it’s really the only Blue Air fighter option. I imagine that many players who are frustrated with it will just switch over to the F-4 when it’s mature enough. -

To recap, I am of the opinion that the biggest part of the problem is in the controls input. Specifically, very little stick movement results in high g spikes. Please watch the attached track with the controls indicator displayed on your monitor. There are no pitch curves, fuel is 51%. It starts at 300kts with a full deflection pull to show I have full deflection authority with my stick. I then accelerate to 550kts, wings level, and pull 10 g's pretty rapidly with a stick deflection of about 1/3. Is this as intended? F-5 control stick deflection.trk -

We will have to agree to disagree, but thanks for taking the time. -

We are just going around in circles here. Bottomline is ED sees nothing wrong with the current performance.
