  1. Have you read Cunningham's narrative on that engagement? In my opinion, the way he tells it makes it easier to understand the outcome than the diagrams do.
  2. As far as I can tell, the only thing factual or relevant about the above is the part about Sidewinders and Sparrows. I’d never heard of “Fast Eddie”, but I don’t think he had grasp of Navy tactics in the early seventies.
  3. Interlock switch to OUT
  4. You can trap, apparently, but you won't be able to use the catapult to takeoff.
  5. Yep, I remember that mod causing something similar with the Mirage F1. In that case the F1 cockpit was wrapped in the Su-25 cockpit.
  6. It is apparently in their plans.
  7. There is a toggle switch in your profile settings that controls whether or not you see signatures
  8. I can’t provide the source right now, but I think I remember hearing it uncages the Sidewinder seeker Edit: Here you go
  9. After just a couple of days flying, I can now say this is now my favorite module. Great job, Heatblur.
  10. I never noticed that limitation before reading your post and now wonder why it's there. After a quick spot check, I didn't notice it with any other aircraft.
  11. As I wrote above, I more often than not get no tone even from directly behind and well within range with the target at the top of the HUD and a radar lock. I don’t know enough to say it’s wrong, but I haven’t seen anything to convince me it’s correct. However, I will try one more time using your diagram above.
  12. I fly the Mirage a lot and still struggle to get a tone, even from directly 6 o'clock. Quite frankly, it seems unlikely to me that the real Sidewinder behaved this way, especially the J and P versions. Quite the contrary, most (if not all) historical references I've read told of missiles getting lock and being fired out of the envelope, not a frustration that lock was difficult to achieve in the first place. I am, however, willing to be convinced otherwise if there is some documentation to support the claim above.

    DCS : F4U-1 Corsair

A bold claim. I guess we'll find out at some point.

Mag3 doesn't start earning money on their module until it's released, so I doubt ED would make such a decision even if they could.

    DCS : F4U-1 Corsair

Fair enough, but I’ll take it as soon as it’s ready and just simulate flying a warbird in modern times. The map and other products can come later.
  16. Point CTRL is a game changer for this. (If you can get one) Edit: If you’re flying in VR
  17. In order to keep this constructive, we'll just have to agree to disagree on the interpretation of the published facts. In the meantime, like I posted above, pre-purchase is obviously not for everyone.
  18. To be fair, they were clear about using March 31st as the end of winter, rather than March 21. Inaccurate, but a small difference in the overall picture.
  19. Pre-purchase has proven to not be for everyone. If delays are going to cause any amount of stress , the answer is to just wait until the day prior to release. Same price, no stress.
  20. Steady, lad. If you want to wait until more details are provided before you pre-purchase, that is entirely understandable. And you have right up until EA release to make that decision. Plenty of time really. But many of us are perfectly comfortable pre-purchasing right now, and that's okay, too. There's really nothing here to see or be concerned about until the EA release day comes. As for the Flaming Cliffs update with three new aircraft, so what? They seem to be repurposing work that had been done in preparation for MAC. I won't buy it because I have their FF counterparts, but then I suspect I'm not the target customer.
  21. They’ve already said you can request a refund.
  22. They addressed it by saying a feature list will be provided once it’s finalized.
