I don't know WMR that well. I guess if it's matured enough one can view the Reverb as a gen2. I understand DCS is always in motion, however, VR won't be. Like with smartphones, VR will eventually mature as well. But for the time being, well, I would wait till a gen4 or something is released in a few years. Right now the leaps between iterations will be higher so the price is more of a factor than it will be in a few years because techdevelopment moves more quickly in the beginning, most likely. And, maybe by then there'll be haptic suits to simulate G-forces as well, who knows. :pilotfly: All in my humble opinion of course. If I would have more than enough money I would certainly be upgrading to every new, top tier iteration. But money is a factor for most, so that was sort of my consideration for my initial post. :)

Some would say spotting, but for me that's not really a problem. I can spot air targets good enough, ground units same, read the displays, see the ball, you name it. I have a CV1 go figure. ;) I needed to fly differently than with TrackIR, can't really explain why. Some things I did flying with TrackIR weren't really realistic I guess? And disorienting to do the same in VR with some "maneuvres". Try it. You won't be getting back to pancake, trust us believers. :smartass:

Put a mouse/trackball right next to your stick or throttle. Easy to find. That's how I do it. VoiceAttack with Vaicom Pro for the radio's.

The Hornet was what got me into DCS. Seeing Wags' vid on YT, Ep.03 Cold Start in fact made me decide to invest in a PC (had a Mac before) and DCS. Still today, after expanding DCS with several modules including the Tomcat, the Hornet is still my most favorite plane. I love it! :) Although I think it'll get serious competition when the Viper is released. :smartass:

Since the VR tech is still in it's infancy, and will be for the next few years, I think it's crazy to buy goggles that cost 1000+, unless you drown in cash. Also because you need a way to expensive GPU for that (the 2080Ti is not worth 1000+ compared to a 1080Ti. NVidia really needs some competition for us to get lower pricing on GPUs). Those high prices for infant tech which you never can utilize fully within DCS due to the high demand on hardware, that just doesn't make sense. In my humble opinion of course. :) Remark for the startpost: Odyssey+ is not available in EU officially.

I think I'll get it. Don't have Normandy and I guess Ugra by means of ED themselves is aware of the problem with the map tech that is responsible for the FPS in VR.

Use an officechair that can turn on its axis maybe? Then there's no need to fully turn your neck 180 degrees. :)

Although I really like carrier capable planes, i.e. F/A-18C & F-14B, the F-16C is the first plane my country actually still flies. So, happy man here. :D
