i read above we can "disable" them? is that different than uninstalling the files? how is this done? OK nevermind i figured that out in the module manager. I disabled all airplane mods and the issue was fixed. Now I'm adding them back one at a time to test which ones are ok. So far these are OK: Grinelli F-22 Grinelli Edge540 Community A-4 OV-10 Bronco VSN T-45 And these are not: Codename Flanker SU-30

Is it possible to change something in the DCS configuration files so that when I go the 'Mission' page on the Main Menu, the "My Missions" folder in the list on the left points to a different folder than my 'SavedGames\DCS\Missions' folder? Ideally, I would like that link to point towards a Windows OneDrive location so that I can manage missions on a cloud drive and then load them into the game more easily instead of having to navigate to the OneDrive location every time I choose a mission. Thanks in advance.

Its pretty well outlined in the manual. The context button is a great tool and very innovative, but hard to describe in any short way. I recommend diving into your HB f4 manual. There are also other videos on how it works in A/A.

I get all excited when the bandits jammer is on because I can launch my 7Ms HOJ and actually kill something with the sparrows easily.
-
Wait... we don't have to count for the 7M's !?! Here I've been watching the bandit launch on me as I'm counting down Mississippi's for no reason

The center one is only good for preening your mustache. Any chance it could be tilted up for better rear visibility? I'd much rather see my six than check out my (admittedly groovy) aviator sunglasses.

Great video. Thanks! Here's another that I greatly enjoyed. Not mine. EDIT: embed video

Or just "maddog" them and then FLOOD the target. Works great for me. *I know maddog is not exactly the correct term, but you know what I mean. Just turn off the interlock and launch them.

If you toggle it quickly while hovering, you can still land on your feet (gear down)

+1 here. We need a MirageIII in this sim badly. Or MirageV. Same thing, practically.

Next. Level. I can't even describe the feelings that I have for this module. It's ground-breaking. Thank you Heatblur.

What a great read! I spent the last couple days just flying her. Lots of approaches, experimenting with all the navigation instruments, watching the needles and evaluating various performances. I'm only now starting my weapons training. I can't overstate how much I enjoy flying this aircraft. It has so much character and it's both a beast and a sweetheart. Heatblur has really created something special here. Reading Victory's post really captures all the things that stood out in my first few flights, but it also provided quite a few nuggets of info that I will be adding to my procedures and checklists tomorrow. Thank you for that. My only difference of opinion is... make time for that cold start vs the runway start. I always have a better flight after a proper start-up... with my whole cockpit setup well before I get my nose pointed down the runway. It's a pretty quick start&go process, especially with the cartridges. Thanks again OP.

WOW this is great! Will it work with multiplayer CLIENT slots, or only PLAYER slots? For example, could my friend and I each lead a flight of 3 other AI fighters in separate groups and they would each fire when we do?

yep - and you can still get a distance on the hsi

Thank you Sir. Now I can stop going crazy trying to fix it. Yep I'm flying the L

Anyone else having INS issues? I've aligned and used this INS in the gazelle hundreds of times, but now I have incorrect navigation needles when I'm flying around. I know guys are reporting the ADF needles are bugged right now. So.. presently, I'm flying without any navigation at all. No ADF, no INS. Maybe the INS is my fault though. Did something change recently with the alignment procedure?

Honestly, just being able to remove that big weapons sytems box in front of the CoPilot (last image above) would be amazing. That's what I came to post here as my own wishlist item, but you're on the same point as myself. I love flying the hip in civilian operations and that thing is just a huge view obstruction if you don't need it.

I uninstalled Normandy2 to make room on my hard drive for the update. Now that I'm updated to the latest version, I'm trying to reinstall Normandy2 and it's just gone. I no longer have the option to reinstall it from the module manage. It's not in the "install modules" pop-up menu with the other modules. Everything else i could install is there, but not Normandy for some reason. It's definitely not installed either, because I can't load missions for it from the main menu.

Thanks ED for making this change. I always felt the 16C was odd in that you have to manually slave the seeker to the radar contact. It's so much better that it happens automatically now and feels right.

Recently, in multiplayer, I shot a 530F at a pair of flankers that were in a formation about 100m apart. I locked on to the lead bandit but the missile impacted the trailing bandit, maybe about 100m behind him. I sort of figured he was just "in the way" of the missile's path. Proximity fuse detonation. I can try to dig up the track for this if requested.
