Great job Here are my tests: I put a Spitfire AI on every model of carrier sailing at 27knts : CV13 CV11 CV8 CV6 CV5 The aircraft automatically take off from the CV8 and CV13, but not of others carriers... But I don't know if it's related to the definition of carriers

A simple text file with a custom extension just like a cfg or ini. Probably a DCS specific file, sdef sounddef, I suppose ... For the maximum value, only the tests will tell you
