In which case is that better from most of the gaming industrie? 4 Years, and many delays later another "suprise".. another delay of NTTR and EDGE. It's not the first or the second or the third or the fourth or the fifth or.... delay, I can't count the delays anymore. With the start of the year 2014 they were real close with EDGE... and now we are real close again. Sorry but I can't see any difference to other developer in this gaming industrie anymore. And I bet all of my money (never lost a bet against NTTR or EDGE Releases before), that in feburary we will see another delay till the MIG 15 Release, and the MIG 15 will get a delay late June to Q3 or Q4, so EDGE and NTTR will see another delay again.. and so on....! We can bet.. I am in with 50 bucks that EDGE and NTTR will not be released before June 2015! If EDGE would be any near a release we had seen many ingame screens and Vids with ingame EDGE stuff. Where is all this stuff if this release is so close? Late December.. you believe this really? It's like the good old "Duke" game... 10 years later.... not funny anymore!

Try to do a simple barrel roll.. .you will get thick eyes.... there is always a little bit "Cobra"... ! With no other plane in DCS I can get G warnings and a stall with doing a simple barrel roll. I would like to see this simple maneuver in a track from the "test pilots" at low speed. A simple clear barrel roll. With the F15c I can do this with ease and fully loaded weapons and tanks. With the Su27 it's a hard thing even without any load. There is always this "Cobra" behavior... EXTREM strange for me. Every WWII bird is more easy to fly as the Su27 now and I can't believe that this is like it should be. The F15C in DCS is lightyears ahead of the Su27. I've had never before so much stalls with an airplane, like with the Su27 yet. Every manuever must be flown with milimeter inputs at the controls, a milimeter to much and you stall. That can't be right! And the strange engine behavior is the point over all of this. If you was only one time in idle postion you have to go at Edit: (89 were false) 80% thrust and have then to reduce in between 72% and 80% for sensitive inputs. If you are under 72% you must go above 78% to get some thrust, If not you will not accelerate even you are at 78% thrust after your thrust was a second on idle. An extrem strange engine behavior too.

The Su27 Flaps working completely different to all other planes in DCS. If I activate the flaps, the Su27 nose went down. If I retire the flaps, the nose wents up. Flaps are there to produce more lift. In DCS they break and reduce the lift. Landings and takeoffs without the flaps are much easier to handle. Another strange thing is, that non of this "nose up/nose down" behavior is noticed from the autoflaps. So if there is a physical explanation, why act the autoflap like in all other planes and only the manual flaps work inverted?

Landing gear damage model and other issues
Nedum replied to Witchking's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Have you ever managed that the right wheel get some damaged? Only the left tire/structure get some damage. -
The new Su27 feels plain wrong for me. There is always a littel bit "Corba" in every maneuver. Even if the Su27 is stalling, she is doing a little cobra. Fly a Loop and wait till the "low speed" warning is coming and the Su27 stalls with the nose down. Now pull the stick a little bit to you and the Su27 gets more speed but if you hold this little stick input a little bit to long, the Su27 gets another stall in miliseconds with the nose full up to the sky. I can't understand why this little nose can produce so much drag to flip the whole AC around. The Su 27 eats speed with ever tiny little stick input. I can't believe that this "modern" AC is such a beast. The engines are the other weak point I have to fight with. It feels like full power or no power, nothing between. With every little stick input the Su27 lost more speed than evey other AC in DC and the engines do nothing to compensate this. All or nothing.. very strange. As I said before... the Su27 feels wrong for me.

Very well written.. thanks!

You have to read the manual. ;) "H" does it right as you say. But you have also RALT+1, RALT+2, RALT+3 -> RAlt+6 and RALT+9 for a resett. This are the other Autopilot Modes. Sometimes you must activate 2 Modes so you follow the route and holde the route hight. :pilotfly:

Nice trolling indeed! :censored:

I got this "dutch roll" behavior in Autopilot if my IAS(? The speed shown in the HUD in nav modus) is under 610 kph. Above that speed the "dutch roll effect" is gone. And I got this dutch roll effect at each landing under 280 kph. It begins with a little effect and if you slow your speed down to 240 kph (ILS landing), the effect isn't to counter anymore. Another strange thing is, that the Su27 has no big signs before a stall accours. You can pull at very slow speeds from 1 ms to another a full stall. No shaking, no left or right slew, there is mostly an instand stall at speeds around 400 kph. You bleed in less a second 150 kph without pulling the stick hard. It's more like the Su27 is drifting with her back from one second to another. I have tried some barrel rolls and I was with ease in a stall @ about 300 meters high and 400+ kph speed. The question is: why can I pull with so less stick use so much AoA if there is not enough drag and speed to do so? And as long as I power up the thrust during a stall, it makes the stall even more a stall. At a nose down stall with full afterburner the AC is not accelerating anymore! Why? Is the FM really all about physics or is there always a little bit "Cobra" in this FM? Without to hit the "S" button I can pull the Su27 nose in less of 2 seconds 90 degrees up @450 Kph. I have tried this with the F15 and can't do this not nearly as with the Su27. And the F15 has no dutch roll behavior even at low speeds.

I don't know why, but there is no sticky thread with the known/confirmed bugs. I think we need this so we can concentrate of the game and find the new ones (if there are new ones). It's very exhausting to search the whole threads before we can report a new one or even not. :pilotfly:

Would you pay for Su-27 if it come out as a separate DCS standard module.

^^this And I would pay a lot more money to get the SM modell of the Su27...:music_whistling: -

No question.. hell yes! -
Thank you so much... I'll give it a try.. or two.... ;)

If you only run Prime95 the temps are too high. 84°C without any GPU heat incomming... wow :shocking: Which test was that. If this was the standard test, the temps are a WAY TOO HIGH! If you play such a game like DCS the CPU and the GPU will generate extrem Heat. Much more than only with a standard Prime test, without any heat spikes and no GPU work. If you have 84° only with Prime and only after 5 minutes, you can include more than 10 degrees with extra GPU work and that means your CPU must throttle down. I would prefer Linx for a CPU test https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/how-to-test-your-cpu-memory-with-linx.5361/ This test will show you the truth about your CPU and RAM very fast! and some overall benchmarks like futuremark to test your GPU and your whole system http://www.futuremark.com/benchmarks/3dmark/all If you want to test your PC you must run these tests more than 30 minutes, longer = better. If you have time 24h are good long time test. If your PC runs both test 24h with no problems, your PC is really stable. 84°C is to high for standard Prime95 after only 5 Minutes. MUCH too high! There is something wrong with your CPU/System cooling.

It looks like your Axes config isn't done well. I always have to clear the axes config. The axes are all the same at the first time for Stick, Paddles and Rudder. So if you push the throttle you may give some roll or some pitch? I would review my device config at first. I personally find that the F15 itself is very friendly for a Pilot even with a full load of weapons and Fuel.

Thank you Sir!

Why are you so harsh? I say, one person can pull a Su27 and you laugh an tell some not very fine things. I show you that I am right and you tell me I am wrong again, but with the roll friction and tell me to read some books about automotiv physics. I don't get it! I think, and so I tell you, that the handling from "our" Su27 feels not right on ground and you say I know nothing about all of this and have to read books. So what must I know so I can tell my impressions here at this forum? Do I need to have a Master at automotive physics? My feeling is that the ground handling from the DCS Su27 doesn't feel right! And all Videos I have seen have shown this to me. I never saw this extrem acceleration and this ongoing pumping from the nozzles and the breaking I must do to drive the Su27 "slow" on ground. I am searching for a reason for this behavior. Thats all! Please explain me why I am so wrong. I am ready to learn something! Was this really necessary? Do I say something about no friction?
-
If you mean a free fall after a stall then I had a few from 12.000 meters to zero with no chance of a recover. Some with nose down and some flat inverted. 2 trk files are in the Su27 chitchat thread. #123 and 124.

Edit /Let it taste you!/ wrong! ^This force ( see above) bon appetite! Much more is possible! And you made my day... I like you... really! The friction of your car engine components "eating" the most energie (friction energy). Rolling friction doesn't waste so much energie. Energie will never be lost. If the rolling friction energie would be that high, all wheels must get on fire, would need a Watercooling like the car engine itself has! This shows clear that the rolling friction or this magical break is a way to high for the Su27.
-
Tested it. 200 kph and no problems. Could be a problem with your keys.
-
So my feelings were right. There is a "magical break". Thx  Friction force needs only one time a big push at ground. If you are "over" this point, this force isn't so relevant with wheels. It's still there but the weight of the plane with the momentum force is then enough to hold the Su27 at low speed. As I said in another thread, in no Video I could see a similar behavior for the real Su27 at ground like in this Sim. In this simulation it's like a dragster race with extrem breaking to hold the low speed. A single Person could pull a Su27 if the Su is rolling. Friction force is to much overdone in this Sim. 250kg is more than enough to hold a speed of 30 km/h. I have the impression the friction force is much to high at low speed.

Su-27 Open-Beta chit-chat and first impressions!
Nedum replied to JulienBlanc's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Thx. With each day I love this "bitch" more and more. What a beauty, what a fine, nice FM! -
Shadows and colors are not needed for the old maps? Hmm? I must think about this again. :smoke:
-
@159th_Viper Sorry but it's looks not nearly as one of this many Vids. You can clearly see all the time this extrem acceleration after you have throttle down (pumping). There is no need for breaking after your 80% RPM pushes? My driving looks like yours but as I said before, looks nothing near the real Su27 and feels also not right! Looks and feels very unnatural!
