don't worry, it's countered by his inability to actually aim at bridges, buildings, or to simply move to next target after a shack. the GEORGE AI for the Apache is the same, really fast at distinguishing targets at long range. When I tried to do a Top Gun: Maverick style mission I had the joy of rolling over the ridge, pointing at the ground, then having to tell Jester to target the thing with his wheel in front of my face.

Not with a SSM, so not with FC3 aircraft, but many other aircraft do have cell resolution modeled. It's not a blanket DCS statement.

The torque tube snaps, not a hydraulic line. It is realistic. And as Despayre points out the inability to bring them up, the inability to sweep, and speeds over 400kts feel like going down a mountain in a wheelbarrow are all clues that it happened. Is this happening during landing or have you watched too many Growling Sidewinder vids and you are trying to use them for dogfighting? In the case of the former, I never drop flaps until I am under 200KIAS. In the case of the later, never try and use full flaps on the Tomcat until you have spent enough time in it to know you almost never need them. level turn under 200KIAS and near max AoA or under 200KIAS and going over the top vertically. I pull them back in as soon as I stop pulling hard or as soon as my nose starts to cross the horizon or as soon as Jester calls a speed above 180.

I was in the back seat, PD-STT, PD Sparrow mode. I was on the targets 10 o'clock or so doing M2 at 50,000ft while they were doing 1.4M at 40,000ft IIRC, so the missiles were a long shot anyway. Oddly the AI default to "break left and dive" no matter what. Apparently the best place to fire on the AI is from 8 o'clock low? lol. But I fired at one bomber at ~52nm and they both broke to evade. This was my same flight where firing a follow up Sparrow trashed my first Sparrow.

What's the point of a technical solution if the quality of the result is worse? In the F-14 I can clearly see what is behind me, and that is what the mirrors are for.

and the manuals which all call out CFT. FAST Pack was the original program but it was largely abandoned. There were versions with internal ECM, internal IR, extra motors, and internal weapons, and many other things.

But it's offset to one side so the firing barrel can be closer to centerline, and also angled so the recoil passes through CG instead of under it.

I did. It's not clear. I see that if I lose lock it goes to flood, and the "boresight" mode uses flood, but I am not seeing how to use boresight and I am confused why the image appears to be a VSL "medium" Oh I see, there is a button near the Master Arm that switches it.

I'm still a little lost on how flood is initiated. Could you help me out there? Thanks in advance Naquaii
