I did. It's not clear. I see that if I lose lock it goes to flood, and the "boresight" mode uses flood, but I am not seeing how to use boresight and I am confused why the image appears to be a VSL "medium" Oh I see, there is a button near the Master Arm that switches it.

I'm still a little lost on how flood is initiated. Could you help me out there? Thanks in advance Naquaii

The irony being that the F-35A is cheaper to purchase and operate than anything other than the F-16V, and then the difference in purchase price is 10%. If the US can't afford F-35s then it can't afford anything and should give up on power projection entirely (forcing a treaty break with NATO, S.Korea, and Japan) and consolidate to national defense only.

The AF equivalent to what the Navy did would be "Hey, the Eagle is expensive so we are going to just use the Viper for every mission until we get enough F-22s to replace the Eagle role. We don't need air superiority F-15s when an F-16 with an AMRAAM killed a MiG-25. Get rid of the F-15Es too, they are too costly to operate and F-16s are perfectly adequate strike planes. You don't need the ability to carry a heavy load far when you have stand off munitions anyway."

I recently did a 1v4 (2 Ace MiG-29 and 2 Ace Su-27) while in the F-14A and I think I hit 8G at the initial break... maybe. Most my time was spent under 250KIAS.

Whats the speed on the F-14? same bank angle means same G, so turn rate is dependant on airspeed.

Learning the Airspeed Indicator by peripheral vision is a huge bonus.

the team with the most advanced (only VG) and intricate FM needs more FM people.... for cleanup work.... Yeah no. I am happy with the FM and any accuracy improvements will be welcome whenever they arrive.
