  1. I like the SAM killer video. love the way the old terrain looks under EDGE. Also love the smooth smoke. Looks so much nicer.
  2. Maybe it is due to the effect that it could have on formation flying? But too much resource intensive.
  3. BIG +3 :p Not to mention I think Leatherneck has pushed the envelope to a point where they are seriously going to challenge ED at their own game with all the details and care they put into their modules.
  4. Looking good though...atleast the site is. :p 2.0 is still not enough information to decide. :p
  5. would be really cool if they do use that cloud tech. Can't say unless confirmed by ED though.
  6. Nicolas...you guys are amazing. That is just fantastic and a true piece of art. Man! I can't wait to see this in motion. I think ED have to step up their game seriously if they can compete at Leatherneck's quality. Not to mention, lets hope EDGE can deliver the goods to show off this bird in its true glory. Would be fantastic to see that "DOF"/"tilt-shift" effects in game during cinematic "F2/F3" views.
  7. IMO, the C turns out a lot easier to manage just because of the detailed MFCD and the capability. I know I am engaging PAC with the two stage trigger on my warthog. I can do pinpoint precision strikes with laser guided munitions and even dumb bombs. With A, It feels like its missing a little. "C" triggers cannon and automatically turns on PAC. But for some reason, it is not as satisfying as the two stage trigger on the C version. That still elevates the C like the badass it truly is...just like how you see in the videos of real A-10s in action.
  8. Fantastic shots Blaze. I can't wait to see what can be achieved with EDGE.
  9. I agree. I am going to remove everything and download it from scratch. Better resolve any minor issues due to file sync errors.
  10. Couple of real nice things in there is the trees. They look so much nicer and more to scale in comparison to the vehicles. Not to mention the hover dust effect and the small s**t on the ground. Looks real nice.
  11. In addition to the replies...this is the reason why it takes time... ED need to make an image generator that is compatible with their system of addons. I think over the last 3y that we know of (probably even more at ED), they have been working time and time again on EDGE. Hopefully, the wait is over soon and we can get to fly it. But in regards to the video, I love how the light just scatters around all the objects. The specularity...shine on everything. Go out on a sunny day and concrete does have that shine to it. the specularity is even in the little cars in the parking lots and driving in the streets. Fantastic. It grounds everything into the scene. Finally, the lighting actually appears grounded and realistic. I hope they get around to finally getting around to removing the old school bitmap navigation lights on the old FC3 aircraft. Make it more realistic and actual dynamic lights that can light the scene around it... like the A-10C and Su25T/25 lights. A little weird...but you know when you want 2.0 real bad.... I had a dream last night of a post from Wags that said "Alpha available for download.. DCS 2.0.0.32. (Don't ask me why that build #) :p."
  12. Thanks. Will check it out and see if it helps. The case is located like 1-2ft from the wall. But the setup is in the basement, so the coldest room in the house. Temps room is around 20.5C. GPU idle temp is 27-28.
  13. I think they are still in progress...or else we would have seen some shown off during the bunch of EDGE videos posted by Wags. I think they were carefully shot to show only properly implemented working things. Just like the past concerns with cloud models, I think they are just trying to avoid backlash if they show off WIP effects atleast until it is acceptable for them.
  14. Yes sir. U r right. It does look like 2.0. I just didn't notice the shiny reflectivity on the mig wings, so I thought it is old engine. Either way...its encouraging...hopefully that means alpha is near with mig release.
  15. I don't think so.. a bunch of the special fx such as lens flares etc is missing.
  16. I use a NZXT S340. There are two fans running in the case and a separate fan for the CPU/radiator. http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/151
  17. LOL! nice! Did u notice drag? any sort of sluggishness in aircraft performance? How long was the chute open before it got ripped apart? :p
  18. holy crap! That's awesome. I always wondered if you can deploy the chute " in air"...if u can shut off engines and drift down with ur jet hanging from a parachute. lol IIRC,there may be two models (devs correct me if I am mistaken) and the chute logic may only work once the aircraft is on ground? I know there was the mention of a separate taxi physics model....don't know if the chute is connected to "contact physics model with the ground"
  19. I know sagepay had some issues with paypal a while back.. so I gave up and just paid with CC directly. It was fine... no complaints regd security or anything.
  20. I think the 295 might be the dual GPU card.
  21. ya...but I have the windforce 3x cooler for my gigabyte 980. It still hits 70+ high temps. My cpu is cooled by corsair h60 which keeps it to lower than 50C.
  22. Holy crap! your 970 only hits max of 57C during 1080p gaming? My 980 hits 70C and this is in a cold basement at room temp of 20.5C or lower.
