I just posted a CPG video in a new thread where I multicrewed with a buddy with another couple people in the server and I had 60fps. So it's not necessarily the module. Check if driver is updated? Do you have sufficient free space remaining on the SSD? Was there something running in the background? Are any other games exeperiencing bad fps right now? How about the other modules on DCS?

We had one small instance of desync this evening, but the rest of the time it was flawless with LMC and with the hellfires reading the laser etc. Good job, ED.

w.i.p M230 via TADS compensating rather little of helicopter inertia intended?
S. Low replied to MRTX's topic in Bugs and Problems
Per casmo and other pilots, the real aircraft has a system called Target State Estimator that makes necessary calculations and adjustments to put the rounds onto the lazed or ranged target. This is apparently coming sometime later in early access. edit: there’s also either LMC as BN mentioned or possibly a system called image auto tracker that keeps the crosshairs ground stabilized while the aircraft is in motion. In either case it is not implemented yet - spoke with another pilot. It’s the LMC that will stabilize your crosshairs. -
Isnt LMC for assisting the CPG with a moving target? So is the Image auto tracker the thing that keeps tads mostly fixed on a ground position while the aircraft moves? If so, do we know when it’s coming into early access? Like soonish or a year away? I’ve bee doing mostly CPG work and I’d like the systems to help me out lol edit: Disregard. I spoke with another pilot and he clarified it for me. It’s the LMC.

Highlight the controller column (your stick or throttle or pedals for example) in your pilot section, right click the head of the column. Select save profile as… Create a name like AH64 STICK BINDS. Now go to the CPG section, right click at top of the stick control column, select load profile. You may have to change the file extension to all files. Select the profile you just saved and load it. I just did this last night so it works edit: correction, the save as and load buttons are above the columns. Not right click.

Just happened after purchasing and installing combined arms last night. I can open the LUA and verify my keybinds are in it, but when I go into DCS the keybinds for the throttle appear to be defaulted. I tried using a backup keybind LUA but it didn't change anything. I tried deactivating (Steam) Combined Arms but that didn't help. I don't want to try and just rebind my buttons. They're already bound and the file is right there. I think it has affected my UH-60 mod throttle keybinds as well. Every other module seems unaffected. I'm attaching a copy of my throttle LUA, a screenshot of one keybind example and a screenie from DCS to show that this keybind isn't present in game. Not sure what else to attach or if I'm posting this in correct place. Thanks fellas. VPC Throttle MT-50CM3 {9BA4A060-9EEC-11eb-8006-444553540000}.diff.lua

I used it but it doesn’t seem right. The sight is still moving with the helo, albeit less so
-
I’m drawing a blank here but watching real Apache tads feeds the CPG keeps the crosshairs fixed while helo is in motion pretty easily. Like doesn’t the TADS have an aiming assist that calculates how to hold it stabilized so the CPG doesn’t have to keep fighting the motion of the helo? Is it the Target state estimator? Or something else?

Seem to work fine for trucks too

This is what long range rocket fire looks like using coop mode from CPG seat. Multicrew. I guess it’s technically a direct fire shot but this is weapons range practice and it’s the same method we’d use for indirect fire from behind trees. Laze and store, slave, coop, Match and shoot. Casmo did say somewhere that rockets are an area weapon so just get them close to the target. Also I dunno if it’s correct behavior, but pilot has to either manually enter the range from CPG laser, or set rockets to auto in order to pick up the laser ranging

I like the Ka-50. It's a really cool aircraft. 64 all day long though. Every day. Twice on Saturdays. edit: Part of this is simply aesthetics. I MUCH prefer the two front wheels, one tail wheel helo design to the two rear wheel, one front wheel design. But also the aircraft is more effective at its job. And night ops.

Brads an Apache pilot. In this thread he explains that crabbing should be present but it’s excessive currently. He details it out and gives a fun diagram on forces acting upon the aircraft https://forum.dcs.world/topic/296438-advice-on-aerodynamic-trim/?do=findComment&comment=4924727

Casmo talked a bit about the tail wheel in a recent stream. Said part of the issue in the sim is not being able to actually feel the aircraft wheels interacting with the ground. So just take it easy and be gentle on the controls

Brad is an Apache pilot, he details it out here I think: edit - this post explains that the crabbing is a bit much right now. But if you scroll down I think he explains crabbing more. It’s due to all the forces acting on the aircraft. Need one trim for rockets and another for efficient flight I believe

That’s a good point. I did increase my fov last night to just try and match the videos. DCS speed did look more accurate and I think what little discrepancy was left is probably due to necessary fewer ground details also I see mods have edited this for the answer. I hear ya I hear ya. Lemme noodle it out, fellas!

reported earlier no RLWR alerts for the human CPG
S. Low replied to Rongor's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yeah I can hear them Actually here lol, you can hear it right before I eat a missile to the face -
Practice. Lift her up and focus on a tree or a building a ways in front of you. Use your peripherals to adjust the helo. You're making movements in anticipation of what the aircraft will do, not necessarily what it has done already. You have to be mentally ahead of it. I'm just a simmer not a real pilot - the real deal can probably give you a better tip on this. Eventually it becomes sort of muscle memory.

I just asked this as well. The common response and possibly the answer is a difference in FOV. I've always thought the Caucus map was *off* with speeds in all of my aircraft though so I don't accept the FOV answer fully; however, I don't really have the energy to do a bunch of vids showing me flying at high speeds on various maps vs real life vids in various terrain. Arma 3 never gave me the impression that I was going slower than I should be.
