  1. That's the most correct statement here. In fact, you need to land the 29 within the correct parameters - like RL 29 pilots do - to avoid bouncing. Threads like this should never exceed one page considering that the answer was already given early on: Done.
  2. It's not how the 29 lands, it's how you land her. ;) There's a difference.
  3. Thanks for sharing that. Esp useful for those who are far detached from real life aviation (us armchair pilots namely).
  4. Judging by these hundreds of hours we usually get out of DCS modules, those asking prices are still too low, imho. :) So yes, get it asap - you'll love it.
  5. I had to update the TM driver in order to get the 3rd one to work correctly.
  6. We're all waiting for the ATC overhaul DCS undeniably needs. Here's hope that after the new ATC implantation for ED's Supper Carrier, the land-based ATC gets some love a well.
  7. Yep - PEBCAK for the win. ;)
  8. Genau! Ausserdem brauchen wir eh mehr Flugzeuge der Generation 4 u. 4+ in DCS - und weniger dieser alten Kisten. ;)
  9. @M1Combat - yep, you nailed it. Nicely - and accurately - summarized.
  10. @Digitalvole - my Reverb doesn't even touch my nose; have you adjusted the head-strap so it sits a little higher? Just a thought...
  11. Same here!
  12. Seems so. As one who has more than once stepped on his VKB Blackbox getting in-and-out of his simpit, I kinda support the notion of having continued making them from metal... oh well. :) (on the other hand, I totally support progress in terms of features and functionality)
  13. (and again - as a side note to point out the typo "32-bit APM controller as the brain of the grip" should be "32-bit ARM controller" (as in ARM Processor).
  14. Would be nice if these training weapons would work like they do in RL - meaning that we could stay up in the air practicing without shooting each other down while flying over NTTR...
  15. Totally agree. That's why I added heavy springs for the pitch axis, a little less heavy for the roll axis, and used a stick with a short throw (see below). Rolling hard is indeed what it takes now - love the feeling of it!
  16. Before anyone asks - "APM" here is a typo and should be "ARM", as in ARM Processor.
  17. When on the ground you can just lean forward, then press the button you've assigned to re-center the VR view. Having leaned forward first moves you wayyyy back in the seat so you can reach those buttons for ground-start easily. Once ready to roll, sit normal in your seat and re-center the VR view once more. That's how I do it and it works well enough. Another pointer - be sure to press Alt+Enter after DCS starts for it to run in full screen, else you might find yourself clicking outside DCS while trying to reach those aforementioned cockpit switches during startup. :)
  18. There won't be a pre-order option per se, just a "Get Notified" waitlist option which provides a tally under the hood we can share with VKB HQ; however, VKB HQ first has to provide the F-14 stand-alone grip (and hopefully a Gunfighter w/ F-14 grip combo) product details and options to their resellers before we can turn around and create a product page for customers to see.
  19. Same here.
  20. You need to first fire up DCS with SSA running in the background, and once DCS runs, SSA finds the F-16 entry.
  21. The real question is - why did the F-18 come out before the F-16? I am ready to get my pitchfork out, since I like the F-16 so much more and had to wait so much longer for it, blah blah blah. ;) These threads should really be locked on the first page as they're nothing but toxic. Thanks.
  22. It's planned that Heatblur will provide individual codes to owners of their F-14 DCS module, and these codes can than be entered into the respective VKB webshop for the 10% discount during checkout.
  23. Yep, the TECS throttle is still in development (I personally want it for myself sooner than later, so I feel everyone's pain ;) ). Also, here you can see some photos of the UMC Stronghold - posted by a tester: http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=3848
