  1. I would gladly pay $99 and more (for any DCS module, really). Nothing wrong with supporting my hobby with a little more love ($$$), considering how DCS - which is the focal point of my hobby including all its modules - is still far cheaper than the hardware needed to drive everything. Software sells hardware, but the software here is just peanuts (too cheap)- which, considering the huge development effort going into every module - is a real shame. Also, the extreme amount of hours I get from DCS compared to the cost-of-ownership doesn't jive; modules need to really creep up in price for ED and 3rd parties' sustainment. Anyway, cannot wait for the JF-17.
  2. How does that look leaving out Android? :D The goal here should only be looking at Linux on the PC Desktop.
  3. I agree with the sentiment - and I am a dedicated Ubuntu user for everything that's work/business related, as for those use-cases I don't trust Windows at all. Using Ubuntu for important stuff made everything safer on my end, and I only use Windows for gaming. Windows is a gaming OS, and so it shall remain. However, I have long gotten off the soap-box that Linux can (and should) replace Windows, esp for gaming. It simply cannot, and doesn't want to, either. However, in DCS' case, I can see a dedicated Linux server for MP only, that's command-line driven and thus has much less overhead than a similar server on Windows.
  4. The 16 is also glad to not be flown by you... ;)
  5. That's the first notion about that I've read - and it makes sense esp about the realism aspect. Is there some reference link or so where this originated from? Curious....
  6. Yep, little race car she is :)
  7. ... also doesn't cater to low-level flight, either: (ED's mix of satellite imagery and hand-crafted artwork down low is a lot better than this auto-generated, cloud-pushed static map; the transition from low to high alts in DCS is still stunning)
  8. Thanks for sharing that. Interesting to learn how time consuming these cosmetic aspects of module development are alone.
  9. Also, we aren't privy to who else ED attracts with their skill set of creating highly realistic simulations for military aircraft, but I always assume they're also aiming at government agencies and government contractors who would want this high level of system modeling for their own use cases when deciding to go with ED for their in-house simulations. Of course, we - the simulation enthusiasts - only get the near approximation of these systems, where certain functions are not available for our consumer versions. That said, ED's passion (and ability) for simulated realism is certainly not a wasted effort, but clearly wasted on some around here it seems...
  10. But that's what's MAC is going to be for - exactly that.
  11. Well said.
  12. Awesome photos! Thanks for sharing.
  13. And that's why - boys and girls - we (VKBcontrollers.com) have this note on the Gunfighters product pages for everyone to see:
  14. Amazing screenshots! Thanks for sharing.
  15. You're so stuck in a negativity loop...
  16. For us folks who value our privacy, this is what we see: Can someone add these screenshots here as well? Thanks.
  17. There are no stupid questions; there are just a lot of inquisitive ID10Ts. ;)
  18. Instead of subscriptions, module prices should be increased. For the amount of hours I am getting out of each module, they're wayyyy to cheap. Let's start at $99 - minimum.
  19. Good choice. Those that cannot "hack" early access and what it entails are indeed better off waiting until the final product is out.
  20. Yep, same here. Rock on, ED.
  21. Great update for the awesome M2000C. Thanks Razbam! Now, we need some decent engine sounds and our VR pilot and we're getting somewhere. ;)
  22. Monstertech offers their MTX Flight Sim Rig. I used to have an Obutto Ozone, and I completely replaced it with my Monstertech one (except the chair; I kept the Obutto chair). This is it: This album shows some pics during assembly and the final results as well: https://imgur.com/a/JEemfuR
  23. UCM stands for Universal Controller Mount, so you can actually mount other manufacturer's controllers as well, which is nicely displayed with the TM throttle in the photo. ;)
  24. Does this cockpit modification include the new 3D pilot as well?
