  2. Doesn't happen every time. I'd guess one in three or so. I was attributing it to bad landings... slamming her on the deck.
  3. Just tried and yeah that was cool. Still the Hornet lower launch bar but don't think they told me to raise it up, either though. Nice touch. Unfortunately they borked the lightning. Couldn't see the AOA indexer (though noticed a box was showing up around it) and could barely see the nosewheel steering light. HUD on max brightness....
  4. Using the radios or are you hitting backslash? Needs to be the former. I have both mapped to my throttle.
  5. Finally got a pipe welded to the arm plate on my chair so switched from my desk on the table mount to the pro mount on a VESA camera arm. Used #50 and a #30. This should be safe right? Everything seemed to work though hard a bit of a fun time making sure it was tight enough since the first time started getting erratic button presses and noticed the red light flashing so tightened it up good but always worried might be putting a bit too much on it. So far everything seems good... other than needing to relearn a bunch of muscle memory ingrained from the last 6+ months...
  6. Hopefully. I've noticed a bit of repetitiveness with many of the AI that they can hopefully randomize a bit. Some optimization is needed for the Tomcat, too. The guy putting the holdback bar tends to clip into the fuselage when he stands up, for example.
  7. Ah yeah running into this now. The AI Hornet strike package is getting stuck on taxi to the bow cats since they go too close to the alert 5 Tomcat placed after them (bow cats initially launching CAP and waist launching an s3 tanker and E3. Assigned parking pulldown with "hangar" as overflow option would be my dream endgoal (combined with deck crew towing them and arm/de-arm animations)

  9. There are many good excuses. That isn't one of them. It would be difficult, at best, for Iran to use some information from a game to add a digital FLCS, upgrade an AWG-9 to ANAPG-71, F110 GE engines, etc etc. And difficult left. F-14D would be great to have and what I want most of all. F-14B(U) would be an acceptable second best. Ideally, we can have them all at some point. I would buy a sequel module from HB that had F-14D and F-14B(U).
  10. I haven't seen it today either. For some reason the Tomcat Case I instant action was super hazy right after I tried the Case III. Was normal in the Hornet mission, though...
  11. Finally took it out again and glad to see her. She's a beauty. I don't remember the yaw being so bouncy though...

  14. Worked for me off cat 2 right sheet trapping the Instant Action PG. I always Shift-U.
  15. Ideally it could be a binding, though at the very least, Request launch needs to be on the arrival menu for one keypress instead of 3: having to go to Parent Menu (F11), then Ground Crew (F8 ) and then request launch (F7 for Hornet or F8 again for Tomcat).

  17. Just today, Jester told me on a nice 3-wire that the LSO had a boner lol. Still rated as a Cut in Supercarrier, though.
  18. Couple issues I've noticed in the Tomcat: 1) Tomcat nose strut sometimes needs to be raised after landing? 2) Tail hook getting stuck. Sometimes required to pull me back to almost to 4 wire before it releases. Doesn't seem to matter if I raise and lower it. If I just try to taxi, it pulls me back when I throttle back.
  19. Looking forward to it. I would suggest putting us out 20 to 25 nm if possible. Is there a way to get the scripts to output to a text file or something we can reference later? I am currently doing screenshots now and then but would be nice to have a number of datapoints to enter on a spreadsheet, etc look for trends....

  21. Definitely. Clara especially as well as request launch. I would almost certain bind both to Voice Attack than keys.   22. Turn on the autopilot engage (none of the other three modes) and it levels out nice.
  23. No, manual says it for Case I, as well: "At ¾ nm behind the ship, you will enter ‘the groove’ and report in with the Landing Signal Officer (LSO) with a ‘BALL’ radio call. You will fly the rest of the approach and landing based on visual indications on the IFLOLS ball and verbal instructions given by the LSO." Pg 41 from the 17 May 2020 version. Today has been miserable. about a dozen Cuts and Wave Offs. I ignored no less than 3 of them which were 3 wires including one Jester's compliment that the LSO had a boner. :D That was a cut, too. :\ Back at 'it in a bit.
