  1. Only way I was able to watch the hangar was keeping F2 on my wingman when he headed down there after trapping.
  2. Wave offs all the time even with no corrections, which has me scratching my head sometimes. I just go ahead and land for about half of them and take the Cut. I've managed a few OK passes with the Hornet. Usually rate of descent is too high...
  3. Not lighthouse related. I've seen it in my Odyssey+ usually on startup. Can't say I've noticed it in the Hornet though definitely in the Tomcat. EDIT: Saw it in the Hornet today. Always in the left eye, it seems.
  4. I would hope HB does F-4N/J/S with Jester and someone else can do F-4E (and hopefully early F-4C). Enjoying the Qual mission. The PG mission has a cart sitting on the front of the island though (probably placed a bit too close).
  5. They did far better with SC than with say F-16, which I considered buying this go but will wait for for Summer or Winter sale since I'm gonna be neck deep in naval operations for awhile. You're missing essentially a whole asset pack. Various carts and cranes, etc. As well as the custom livery for 3 more carriers in addition to Stennis. For lining up alone, don't need external view at all and the deck crew also helps those with sloppy lineup which means no more bad shots.

  9. It correlates to one of the lighting switches but can't remember which one at the moment and would guess instrument intensity.
  10. I added it to an open index finger position on the MCG. Using up, down, and press for weapon selection so forward and back were open. Now bound to ball and salute. Will add to Voice Attack soon, too.
  11. Case I departure in carrier manual. Regular cold start tutorial pretty much with INS set to CV. Then yes, ask ground crew to launch go to preferred cat. Take a clearing turn and then parallel carrier BRC for 7 nm at 500 ft and 300 KIAS then you can climb and proceed to waypoint.
  12. GW is George Washington. Jester Menu to radio and then tune Tac and the carrier should be there asking with any tankers and AWACS, if any.
  13. Tried to re-use a Stennis mission with a fair amount of static objects but when I substitute in a Super Carrier they all get stuck in the center and I can't move them out. I can make new Static Objects and assign them and move them wherever but not the current ones. Also appear to have the same issue with the active planes I had assigned to either ramp or cat starts with the ramp planes starting on cat 1 for some reason...

  15. It is now. You can map it now. I already changed the default to be the same Left-U I've been using on the Tomcat for months. The idea of the towel rack rocks though I'm about to put it in Voice Attack anyway.
  16. I tend to 4 wire overshooting and trying to break the deck more than 1 wire, but this mission definitely helped me in the Hornet, which it's easier to keep on the glide slope than the Tomcat.
  17. Is there an easy way to measure FPS in VR? As long as I don't see lag or stutter, I doubt particularly care what the number is most of the time. I have a similar system built this last November, though went 2070 since I'm waiting for Ampere.
  18. I got 3 traps in during my lunch break. 2 to the Abe Lincoln on the F-14 Instant Action and 1 to George Washington. Couldn't find the Hornet missions though very briefly saw the three carriers in the mission editor though was rushed for time. Will be trying the qualification missions later. Glad to finally have it. They look great. Experienced stutter on the communications transitions (see you at 10 etc) and never saw the ball call in the menu. Had a 2 wire and 4 wire. I was a wave off on the other, but landed anyway and Jester called Bolter. Had to get back to work. Will be on all night for sure!
  19. Iit was decent with the Tomcat though had noticeable stutter at the communications transitions (see you at 10, etc). Also in three landings, 2 on Abe and one on GW didn't see the Tomcat ball call show up in the menu though IFLOLS popped up. I'll probably see where I can bind it. The Tomcat Instant action missions were most accessible during my lunch. I'll be trying the Bug tonight and much more from the Cat, of course.

  22. Do you think there's room to optimize for Supercarrier? I did notice pronounced glitching like a frame skip on the communications transitions (see you at 10, etc). I'll see if it does it on Hornet, tonight (ED didn't do an instant action for Case I or quals, thanks much HB!)
  23. How does Jester ID contacts? Is he using IFF or TCS?
  24. Just did two landings on the Lincoln Instant action mission and one on the Washington. Definitely handy. Hope they can add a case I departure if not cold start on Supercarrier instant action, as well. Didn't have the option for the ball call. Think that was mentioned as a known issue for Tomcat? Would not let me contact the tower to request take off so had to end the mission and start again.
