You are not getting the point of the previous poster. In RL there is a BVR time-line you strictly follows based on the mission. The range is not about knowing where bandits will be, but about knowing at which range you commit or abort, if you commit you probably either go to TWS or even STT for greater accuracy, but you'll have a sorted target asigned and you are just not changing scan/azimuth settings at that time, that would happen before to know how many groups or bandits you are engaging. later with dtc Can we please edit our countermeasures profile?
falcon_120 replied to FlankerKiller's topic in Wish List
Even better, can we have a simple menu in special options to edit the CMS like the JF17 one? So we dont have to mess around with text files? I know it will come eventually with the Data cardrige of some planes, but thats so far away id rather have this simple option in the game menu. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk -
In that we totally agree. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Indeed, but we should not forget either what current missiles turning capabilities are nowadays, they are really eyewatering. So its a case of train as if you need it, but if they fire at you one of those beasts its over. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

I've tried F-15E today, this module sets some new standards, it's awesome.
falcon_120 replied to bies's topic in F-15E
Yes, Its with Auto acquisition switch Press IICR, but you need to have boxed a CDES option in the TPOD before you can achieve a PTRK. -
I would say that the F15EX will be a huge BVR platform, but not in the sense of the classical BVR concept most people have. We are now entering a realm of BVR where sensors are more relevant that pure kinetics and maneuverability. The F15ex has all the known advantages in AESA radars including Electronic attack cappabilities, it will simply try to blind enemy fighters, it will have a massive detection range thanks to higher output power and latest AESA developments, it will have a super advance Self protection suite, it has massive processing power compared to legacy platform, letting her act as a sensor fusion platform, and finally it has very very good shiny new engines, so the kinectic are defintely there, just not the most important aspect IMHO. Well I wouldn't say that as when thinking in a A10c. The F15E definetely can hold it's ground in a contested airspace as it has: -the stick(120c) and radar to hit you before you come close -the speed to get away if jumped And not now but soon: -JTIDS to have a battles pace picture of baddies coming it's way. -Aim9x to make you pay if you dare to underestimate it close. A hornet with Aim120c is a formidable platform in Bvr, even with his always screamed lack of speed. But you can be alright if you learn the basic Bvr principles applicable to all fighters: -Make a proper SA assessment first -Launch you missiles high to give them proper range -defend low -Learn the MAR of your missiles and the enemy's -Crank to support -Crank to launch if required from close -learn to disengage -learn to notch -get a wingman or allies to support. -rebuild SA as much as you need(if you loose it with the amazing L16) Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Do you need more than M2.1 for anything? [emoji3166] Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Special menu options for TDC speed sensibility and other quality of life aspects should be the norm going forward to compensate for the great variety of setups out there, from very low end to 1:1 replicas. +1 on this. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Loving the F15E here. It's in a very good state for a just out of the oven EA. I've encountered bugs, but nothing gamebreaking. The attention to detail is lovely, it has come with a good manual, a great book that I'm really enjoying, the radar modeling is... omg the first time I went low and started seeing false returns like I've seen in real live footage of fighters going low.. I thought this should be a standard in DCS. All in all Razbam has become my favorite 3rd party along with Heatblur. They are in a great position to make some of my favorite planes in the future: F15c, Ab8b plus (radar variant)...also a M2000-5 would be great Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk -
Currently, don't know if that will change, make sure of the following: -Parking brake on -No input to any device, rudders or joystick, avoid To trim while aligning. -Make sure the rearm process does not happen when not aligned or it will trash the alignment -Yaw, pitch, roll Cas off With that I'm aligning alright always (6 MP alignment so far in different servers) Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

need a profile for the Winwing F16EX stick
falcon_120 replied to cmbaviator's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
There you go.F15E PILOT Winwing EX.diff.lua Although dont know how will it work for you without a throttle. I have many hotas keybinds on the throttle so this is just half of what you need. If you want to make it work with just a joystick i would change in my profile the use of the 2 EX hats (the ones attached to the joystick with a screw) to: -TDC axis+TDC press -Coolie hat switch With those 2 in your joystick you can almost fly with the joystick alone. -

Hello, I'm getting a very strange bug. I have assigned all the WSO hotas keys (Left and right hand control grip) to my Hotas setup. They show as properly assigned in the control panel and i can select them. See image attached. However they do nothing in game when i jump to the WSO seat. They work perfectly fine in the pilot seat (I mean all command assigned with the F15E pilot category). But none of the assigned commands in the WSO seat works. My setup is a Winwing F16EX joystick and a Virpil Throtle CM3. I've already tried a repair with no effect. Luckily i can do everything from the pilot seat but i'm missing the fun of WSO'ing in MP because i cannot operate any system other than clicking with the mouse. BR,

If I can add to that some additional good advice: -Be on comms, some PvP servers have gci humans that talk you through the overall picture and bandits, if not, the rest of people could do. -Plan ahead, at least setup a basic flight plan, I normally create a way point of the general area I want to bomb, and some other way points on the 1/2 closest enemy airfields where bogeys will very likely come from. -Don't fly low unless you need too, in most challenging servers I play in (blueglag, ddcs) most of the time you die off manpads when you are too focused on other bandits or targets, flying high alse give you scape options and make difficult to jump on you in a very stealthy manner (unless you are operating in very high mountains with deep valleys). -Respect the Mar against airborne threats and high digits SAMs. -Don't stay like a fool over enemy territory, you go in just to release a strike or intercept a bandit, but you are suppose to come back to a safe area, at least to the friendly side of the Forward line of troops where you rebuild your SA. The most credible source I've heard is that supercruise in the Eurofighter is M1.2-1.3ish with a normal A2A loadout, which is 4MRM-2SRM, if that figure is with 2 bags I'm not sure. It is difficult to believe for me that M1.5 is other than a clean jet. Enviado desde mi ELE-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Hello all, Some doubts from my limited time testing the F15e that I have not been able to clarify with RTFM. Markpoints with TPOD: Putting the TPOD into MARK submode is a great way of quickly creating markpoints from the targeting points on those pesky tanks and Surface to air sams, however once they are created I cannot find a way to select them to slew my TPOD to them. When i create 4 Markpoints, i can manage to see their coordinate in the UFC panel (eg. M2 and hitting PB1 in the UFC display the coordiantes) but the TPOD only slew to the latest one, so Markpoint 3 in a sequence of 4. How do i slave the TPOD to mark point 1 or 2? Or how is the easiest way in general to slave the TPOD or radar to a stored Markpoint? Cycling sequence points in the TPOD via Hotas: So going coolie hat up cycle through available steerpoints when the TPOD is SOI but stops in the latest one. So for example if you have 3 steerpoints it goes: STP1 > STP2 > STP3 and stops there. When doing the same from the radar it goes back to STP1, so: STP1 > STP2 > STP3 > STP1 > ... which seems correct. Is it correct behaviour that radar cycles again to the first in a sequence but not from the TPOD/NAV?
