I doubt this is even technically feasible, if you look at the Normandy map there is terrain all around the edges of the map - even the english channel where it should be water to the edge.

Same here, i remember seeing the grass now has the colour of the terrain under it, maybe this isn't being rendered in one eye?

I noticed in VR the grass in the left eye is a different colour to the right eye. Could this be related?

VR is the only way forward, IMO. I think AR would be great for those who have home cockpits but I've not had a look to see any in action.

Unfortunately no F-35s in my trip to the lake district yesterday. Or Tornados, Typhoons, Eagles etc for that matter :( Did have 5x Hawk T2, 1x Tucano and 1x Hercules

I have similar results to you. Need to lower everything to get ~30-40fps in VR but with PD of 1.5, I don't use AA. Not had a great deal of time to spend tweaking it. Really need a better GPU!

Absolutely! "Life saver" is where you turn your head and look over the relevant shoulder just before changing lanes/turning etc

I haven't but could probably do with some more tuition now. Will have lost a lot of skills and confidence now I'm not riding in all weathers and at all times of the day!

Yep, it's called ER-6F in the uk. I think we call the ninja a different model of Kawasaki.

I've done 52 miles in 12 months on mine. Do I count as a biker?:lol: Have an ER6-F, got it for commuting but a few years later I bought a house closer to work so I rarely get out on it.

Afraid not, just have a keen interest in the tornado which I've grown up around with my father being in the RAF.

The panels look the same as the GR1, so on the right side of the pilots cockpit under number 7 is the terrain following radar on/stby/off and frequency switches then under number 9 are the autopilot mode buttons then under those is the height selection dial for TFR, TFR on/off button and under the dial is the ride selection switch (soft/med/hard IIRC) with a green ready lamp under the TFR on/off button. So, is the DCS tornado ready yet? :D

Sat in a few tornado cockpits as my father worked on XV sqn in the RAF. He brought home a cardboard replica of the cockpit one weekend, wish I'd taken photos of it but I was too young!

First low level trip of the year for me. Would have been a boring day without the USAF turning up.

I got a pair of touch controllers since the pricecut, tried them in DCS but I'm not quite sure how it's going to work. The actual touch controllers are too large to have one in each hand + have hands on HOTAS. So either have the controller strapped to your wrist then take your hand off throttle/stick and grab the touch controller when you need to push something, or are the touch controllers going to replace the physical HOTAS we have? I think that could work. Be interesting to see what ED come up with.
