  1. While you are waiting, you could achieve this with Joystick Gremlin. Just remap your hat buttons to set sliders to positive or negative values on a virtual joystick (vjoy). Then assign the virtual sliders to the MMS axis's in DCS. When you press a hat key, a virtual slider is moved by a value of something like 500 or -500 and you're golden.
  2. Same boat here. You might try messing with the PD settings. For me, PD of 0.5 made it somewhat smooth but low quality. Nothing else worked. For now, giving up on playing/tuning until there's a fix to get reprojection back. Would be great if there was an option to use OpenComposite instead of ED's method?
  3. Thanks. This has GREATLY improved VR performance. Totally smooth.. almost perfect in Multiplayer.
  4. I'd vote for augmented reality where you can see your real life simpit along with DCS in VR. I would guess 5 years until that happens.
  5. This just starting happening to me. I found one suggestion about lowering preload radius which seems to help. If it happens again, I will try using the memory trim feature in Process Lasso on the DCS process. In the past, this has helped with similar problems, which I think are memory related.
  6. @FupDuck The setting is called Image Scaling in Nvidia 3D settings. I followed the video at the beginning of this thread and that setting is available on the 1080ti with latest drivers.
  7. I can confirm it's supported (and seems to work) on the 1080ti, but NIS doesn't seem to work with VR unless the SDK is built into the game. This is "competitor" to NIS which I use with very good results https://forums.mudspike.com/t/openvr-fsr/12743
  8. This is what I do in Voicemeeter: Set A1 Hardware out to your SBX7 Set A2 to Mobo sound for Buttkicker In DCS, Set output to Voicemeeter VAIO3 In SimShaker, Set output to Voicemeeter AUX In "Virtual Inputs", direct VAIO3 to A1 and AUX to A2
  9. There is a screw inside the grip that gets loose and needs to be tightened I've had this happen twice. Used loctite the second time.
  10. If I recall, reinstalling target/drivers seemed to help, but I always had that problem. Hated it. I got rid of TARGET long ago. If you can do basic scripting, FreePIE and vJoy works great for me. One script for all planes.
  11. You might want to do a DCS repair. This is a good tool for helping with that:
  12. This is a good resource for tuning. https://vr4dcs.com/2019/08/03/tuning-videos-diy/
  13. I've had mostly failure, but some success with these sort of repairs. Depends on what is wrong with it. I'd start by looking for any damaged parts and determining if the card gets any power at all. If you have a multimeter, you could start by checking the fuses on the board. This could be a start of a new hobby for you. Replacing tiny SMD parts like those fuses is easy with a quality soldering iron with a sharp point and tweezers. If you can narrow it down, you might find an easy fix online for common problems with that card. https://www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/trying-to-fix-a-dead-rx-580/
  14. There is a setting in options also to force mirrors on at start if you check it.
  15. Not sure about Gremlin, but I know that FreePie + vJoy can do that and a million other things. I switched to that from Gremlin and never looked back. I attached the script that I use. Doesn't have multiple keyboards, but you can script that. It's not bad dcs_pie.py
  16. I'm doing the same thing. If your zoom jitters around in TrackIR like mine does, put a curve on the zoom axis. Also, have you checked out Helios for second screen exports? It's amazing for that.
  17. @speed-of-heat Thanks man! I've found your links very helpful before. I cleared it up by getting frame times down to 14ms. You were right about that. It's an acceptable image, but yeah.. I'm just asking for too much from the 1080ti @Hartsblade Good suggestion. I already had that off, but good to know.
  18. I have my G2 tuned perfect, except that there is -consistent- ghosting when I move side to side. I see a sort of "double image" when I move around like a blur. Otherwise it's very smooth and good FPS. Does not happen with other VR games at all. I have not been able to find any setting, including reducing settings/resolution, that makes any difference. It's consistently there. Any suggestions?
  19. I agree with Fri12. I run a G2 and a 1080ti and it's awesome with a lot of tuning. Quest 2 with 1080ti would be very good. You can get a 1080ti cheap on Ebay. G2 with a better card would be even better, but it's a hell of a cost. Matt
  20. I've had these things happen. It can almost be anything. In my case, I had a bad ethernet interface that caused drops -and- memory problems. Process Lasso helped find the leaks and you can do memory trims that help right away, but in my case, I had to replace my ethernet interface. Since then.. all problems solved. Not saying I blame DCS entirely. Can't explain it. Next time it will be something else seemingly unrelated.

  22. Maybe you lost rudder bindings? Check the rudder brake settings in the axis controls.
  23. I used to mess with Blender a lot. This tutorial changed how I thought about light - similar to what you are talking about. Interesting stuff. https://www.blenderguru.com/tutorials/secret-ingredient-photorealism
