Great post:thumbup::thumbup:. Just a few questions: what's the actual doctrine of the Russian carrier based jet aircraft. This is something I've been thinking about since I saw footage of a pilot in a Su33 simulator practicing rocket attacks on ground targets. If the purpose of aircraft on the Kuznetsov is just to protect the fleet then why would they set up the Su33 simulator for ground attack or indeed what would be the purpose of a Mig29K with extensive air to ground capabilities? Have we got it wrong all these years and the Russian navy actually see it's multirole stike fighters as more than fleet defenders?

Aircraft and vehicle visibility has always been an issue in LO: here's my original post I made years ago : http://forums.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x?q=Y&a=tpc&s=400102&f=38610606&m=439103961&p=1 and things were made a lot better but they still need to be improved to match what the human eye can see IRL and I'm not talking about the LOD issues with the Mig29, F18 etc.. I understand why some feel labels are more realistic when set to a certain distance at which you would be able to acquire the target with your naked eye and I agree with them even though I don't use labels. But relying on seeing a missile to evade it is pretty unrealistic and unreliable especially after the missiles engine has finished burning.. then you're really living in hope that you'll see it and have the time to react. Anyway I would suggest adjusting your tactics rather than labeling missiles but the sim has to be fun or you've basically just bought a coaster :). Just noticed that my demon script still works in my sig from the above link :) .

I understand that a sim has to work for the operator or it just aint fun but labels for missiles? IRL you would never see the actual missile fired at you but hey what ever melts your butter :D. Just one question though: why do you want to see something you're not suppose to? :P . Maybe if you explain your dilemma in more detail we might be able to help you tactically or in some other way that might avoid such a drastic retreat from realism and immersion.:noexpression:

You have no idea what you're talking about. What kind of attitude is that? Realism is a state of mind in flightsims and in terms FM and the general atmosphere of flight, Lockon is better than F3/4. F3 was a good sim but it could never hold my attention becasue I need to feel like I'm flying an aircraft .. but that's just me some are more satisfied with avionics and campaigns both of which were excellent in F3 but for me I preferred Flanker and then Lockon. One thing I'm happy about is that there are no more F3 loons coming here demanding we see flight flightsiming in their terms;... So Lockon is good sim, maybe not for everyone and Falcon was a good sim also not for everyone but there's room for both.. Just not on my hard drive ;)

When you're the same age then lying is part of the game LOL. A twenty one year old looking to settle down with someone she hasn't been dating for too long can easily turn into a "Play misty for me" type situation, better tell her it's away matches only (her place not yours) but be careful here too even if she agrees becasue girls can get that "I'm gonna turn this man around bug" and then you're back to square one. Totally agree. I'm not married :chair: but the Wii appeals to all ages and sexes, I can't believe she wouldn't want to have ago at those nun chucks. Alternatively try to get her to become computer literate. There are probably tons of courses she can try either at home or at a learning center ...or just show her the basics yourself. Once your wife finds out about emails chat rooms you might be fighting her off the PC to get some sim time in for yourself.
