Since we are playing a game ... 1. check you pedals for spiking. If bad put deadzone on it (i use 3%). 2. just get better at controlling the rudder with ya feet. I'll bet you are deflecting 30% and above and that is way to much. 3. F-16 flight model is not done yet, so you have to adapt. Harsh ?`well in most cases there is one solution, if we know the data . So where do I come from...it has been 3 days since i made 2 crew help me troubleshoot my mistake. So I know the discipline but I am not the best at it, if that makes sense

Good. I did that yesterday and remembered that u had a similar issue. For me is was waypoint mode -
To get the crosshair all the way to the center of the picture.

I messed around with mav D today. VIS mode: tms up and hold, slew to center (fpm). let go of tms, now the mav looks roughly at fpm. Point fpm at target and tms up and hold it. Then I slew and hopefully hit my mark and let go of tms. Mav is locked and pickle. I have no idea if this is the real way but in a pinch it works.

Since DCS and the fighter collection have some ties, why was this venue moved ? Sad to see it disappear from Duxford.

So u settle with 4 vs 4 and stupid ai in 2021 ? Joke aside , thanks for the response. But to give a feeling on what I'm trowing out there. In 2007 in another game we made a thing called Fox flag, force on force and I had to fly at 0600 my time to battle the Canadians that was op force, by a miracle i completed my mission out of a 4 ship, sa-3 almost got me but it was reviewed by both sides and deemed valid. I was flying the game+ sim version of a tornado and could run, and I did :). But I got bombs on target and got home. The feeling u experience doing a "real" sortie is awesome. We even had the guy doing airfield pdf's, doing a notam for our thing, small thing but really cool

Please do not go the F-16 route. What I wish for in early release at least. 1. Fully working flight model with damage model. Why ? We will all have to learn the ins and outs of this aircraft. Many will compare to existing rotor platforms and post their findings in awe or grief. If it it is not close to the final product, then why buy it early ? (F-14 seemed to have that idea) 2. The included weapons in early Access should be final versions with operation etc. 3. Basically an overhaul of your early access approach. I know it's a damned if you do or damned if you don't, but there is leeway here. 4. We are partners and your side wants to try your product but all that they have to say is uncertainty and questions on the present early Access model , A real life testpilot will not go on but's and iff's no way. Imagine what the 737-max pilot felt when his airplane did something that was total unnatural to him and his training, he found out the hard way and is dead today. We just reload. But we have the passion to treat your product as the real thing. 5. Fair shall be fair ....will there be development and tweaks and so on. Yes, but it should be minor not major. I think that in the hart of the DCS team they want the same thing that the customer wants, I've seen this in real life where the management didn't learn and had a clean canvas to paint on and failed . Let us in unity get it right

Hi all Isn't it time DCS has a full scale scenario ? People on both sides for a full scale op. As this is my idea, I'll need input but i will start some of the basics 1. Can the game handle 50 vs 50 (example) 2. Can we have people from around the world or will we have a sync issue ? Why ? well to me the game has almost become what was the original idea, many platforms and many options. Let's put it to the test We have all seen what the racing community is doing, and it might be less complicated but they have put on a show. Our community is more splintered but it is strong. Some servers and twitch streamers are paving the way but imagine ombinding it. The skills are out there and have been proven in smaller scale. I say let's ramp it up. Skills to compete.. the hole none yards: Comms, takeoff/landing according to atc, aar and so on. This is just on the idea fase for me, but please think and comment. It could be a all out live event or a segmented event. I think we all love the idea but can we make it work ? Sponsors / charity comes later But imagine human atc, awacs, jtacs sam, etc... Just an idea people , can we do it ?

1. Flight model: I've said it before, having a tgp on the jet makes the plane not go straight. Fair enough, but the autopilot should be able to to the plane level despite the offset. It just makes the jet a hard sell. " hey I have a Ferrari but it seers right no matter what. I could go on and on about the flightmodel but most of us know the shortcomings. Why should I choose a broken jet for a mission ? Just let me put a lunchbag on the other station to compensate, we are still in beta, so I can live with a non correct option. Before everybody flame me on using autopilot, I'll take all the help that is in the toolback, not to is just dumb I can compensate with many flightmodel parameters but a broken trim/autopilot is just not fun. 2. More of a wish, will we get the fidelity/complexity that we see on the F-18 ? 3. Damage model: Right now you dead or not. Again it impacts the fun. Have done many mission in the A-10 where a real pilot would have gone home but I was able to stay with some compensations, great fun. After many years on the game not mentioned, I still to this day can not tell you why it kept me going back. In general there was very little talk about things not being implemented. We worked with what we had and had a blast. It was very simplified but did have a feeling of flying the F-16 and asking questions at airshow raised eyebrows of our knowledge. Heck they even through in a mp3 player in the ded for kicks. So please make my mighty F-16 fly straight at least. Why is station 5 such a pain for you ?, makes no sense I hope I'm not stepping on any toes but the way the F-14 was introduced, to me is a benchmark on how to do it. To me it should work out of the bag and not be NI across the board. Hey I buy a steak and get the plastic wrapping and in small letters it says "steak ni"

It was a weather issue, not a bug :)

No worries. :)

My attempt :). Rctrl-enter will show my control inputs. tough takeoff.trk tough takeoff.trk

Tried it. You have a heavy cross/tail wind 036 at 12 m/s.Your takeoff is 310. That is quite a lot for a heavy F-16. Rudder has effect after 80 knots or so. I did manage to get airborne but had to severely trim the bird to the left to maintain level flight. Some sources say max crosswind is 25 knots, you had 24 knots from side and tail side. You are on the limit of what the bird can do :).

Also some fine tuning of rudder pedals might be a thing to look at.. For dcs crew: Is tire to ground modelled ? Maybe something to tweak :)

I find that operating the systems are very different. The F-16 hotas logic makes more sense to me, than the hornet. To me it seems the A-10C is more towards the F-16 than the F-18. I'm a little bit biased, as i've flown the F-16 online since year 2000.

That would be awesome :)

Found this vid on their hud systems. Looks really cool and along the lines of the new a-10 mod.

Not for me but very nice work :) -
Hi all :) Have some RDAF skins but the numbers on the tail is US. Is this because skins were made before the template ? Thanks :)

All this talk and nobody noticed how narrow the F-16 landing gear is ? A clean F-16 is a dart with the weight of a feather compare to its weight :) From a real manual as an example on how light the plane might be :) "Avoid heavy braking below 20 knots at light GW's. Heavy braking during these conditions may cause both MLG WOW switches to momentarily go to the air position, which causes the antiskid system to deactivate the toe brakes. The WOW switches return to the ground position after 11.5 sec onds, restoring braking capability. If heavy braking resumes, the cycle may be repeated. C NWS disengagements are possible when taxiing with CG near the inflight aft limit."
