  1. Black means its in a format that DCS doesn't understand. Usually its because your dds file isn't square, IE 4096*4096.

  6. Its not really necessarily to have more, its to have all the things like weathering, rivets/lines, mechanical parts, stencils and base layers separated. You can always pop in to the Livery discord to chat about us skinner's rigorously obnoxious requirements.

  11. Not a roughmet issue at all. Its a color profile issue within the template. Its in CMYK instead of RGB or something to that effect.

  13. Modules that have ED made roughmets will not load speculars, even if the lines are in the lua. Also, attempting to load an old spec as a roughmet will not give you the desired PBR effect.
  14. Its too old and the roughmet is prioritized over the spec map that was supposed to be loaded.

  16. Just erase that whole section from the shadow layer. No need to blend if its not there anymore. Or rip the AO channel from the roughmets and use that as the shadows. Alternatively, turn all the shadows off. They are way too strong anyway.
  17. Find the layer that has that bit of texture and erase it or mask it out.

  21. Apache roughmets use 4 channels. AO (R), Roughness (G), Metallic (B) and Cavity (A). Without seeing a screenshot of your work, I'd say you either messed up the AO or the Metallic channels. Both of those can alter how light or dark the skin can look. The way I go about making my roughmets I usually open up the default ones and keep the Red channel intact. I will then edit the Green and Blue channels to my liking. In reality if I'm only altering the material properties or getting rid of decals from them I will only edit the Green channel.
  22. Your texture isn't 2048x2048 so DCS doesn't recognize it.
  23. The culprit is line 203 set to true when it should be set to false in the description.lua:
  24. TU95MSBody_roughmet.dds and TU95MSWings_roughmet.dds Litterally all you need. But they have to be in the textures folder where all the default textures are located. Not your livery folder. Once you have them in the Textures folder you can add custom ones to your own liveries. Both of these are roughmets.
