  1. One thing that needs attention when using the Global preset option from DLSSTweaks is that it's also set the percentage for DLSS quality levels (I believe it defaults to Quality setting 0.666). That means you cannot then change it in DCS settings to anything else. So either you also set the preset and the quality level up front or use the old method of adding the dxgi.dll in bin folder so you can make the changes of DLSS quality levels at DCS level. In my use case (Qpro and QV, 3080 12GB) I ended up using preset J and performance in DCS with full resolution in Quest and focus resolution 1.8 and peripheral 0.2 in QV settings. Unbelievable how the system manages clarity and performance with no obvious artifacts! It's like a got a new GPU
  2. I don't know what happened but after installing the latest Nvidia drivers 572.16, I lost eye tracking and I don't see the option for it in DCS VR Settings!!! Also DCS crashes if I use new dll and new drivers
  3. I’m using DLSStweaks with preset G and I get J in game and I see a clear difference in clarity without ghosting. I’m using Qpro with QV and full resolution in Oculus and 1.8 focus resolution and 0.2 peripheral
  4. After using this solution for some days now I can confirm that is a very good solution for stability over wifi option and as a bonus you get the benefits of using VD for other stuff too. My only gripe so far is the limited SSW option when it comes to reprojection technic. ASW from Meta is still better implemented.
  5. Thank you @nikoelfor this guide. I just installed it (HW and SW) for Qpro and it works wonders in terms of stability and performance. It’s equal in stability to Link. For true performance I will have to run some tests on equal basis (resolution wise). I was really surprised with the results as I have a dedicated Wi-Fi 6 router connected at 2400.
  6. On the map discussion, I got NTTR initially with Mirage 2000 for the red flag campaign and never regreted it. I fly realistic missions with my multiplayer group over there utilising all the real procedures and the add on assets available (in terms of ranges - freely avaialble in ED's user base). At the end is how you want to use each map. Definitely NTTR needs some TLS and Nevada 2.0 will be more than welcomed but I prefer this over any empty Afganistan type map. As mentioned by others the bar has been set high by Ugra media and Syria and Normandy 2 (for me the best map vailable in DCS in terms of detail and quality) I also like South Atlantic but it still kills my system at low altitudes (below 900FT). Kola is coming close but still needs work
  7. @nikoel I wondered if the statement I made regarding no updates from Meta, since the wifi can be turned off, is valid. The reason I'm raising this is because a friend of mine who uses the method on a Q3 said that the headset has still access to internet. As I haven't yet purchase the necessary stuff for testing can you check this one?
  8. @SorelRo just bought it to support your work. Thank you for the additional effort to keep it current!
  9. VD is definitely better in how it manages VRAM and offers mostly a more stable environment compared to Quest Link. Also you can now block Meta’s updates (by switching off WiFi) and save yourself from the possibility of having a headset that doesn’t work as it should. The biggest flaw compared to Link is its reprojection method (SSW) which is still way behind ASW. And with this proposal you eliminate the need of a dedicated Wi-Fi router and have less latency. I will soon try to find out . Thanks @nikoel for highlighting this one!
  10. I have no issue with Qpro and its microphone. Nobody mentioned any issues while we are flying together using Qpro microphone. The sleep issue seems to be more proinent in Q3 (from friends reports) for whatever reason. In Qpro I don't have this problem (I'm using Quad Views)
  11. Dear pilots, We are a small group of passionate flight simulation enthusiasts, based in Europe and VFA-282 Centaurs is our F/A-18C Hornet squadron. We fly as realistic as we can while keeping our missions enjoyable and not enforcing procedures. We usually have our scheduled mission on Monday evening 1900-2200 Zulu time (and Wednesdays based on availability) , and our activity is mixed between internal training missions and large scale campaigns missions with our external squadrons friends (joint operations with AMVI, ANZUS etc.) We are looking to increase our roster with like-minded mature pilots that enjoy a relaxed community in which we can virtually fly our favorite fighter in the most realistic environment DCS can offer. What we expect from you: - Know how to operate the Hornet on a basic level (cold and dark start-up, carrier and airfield operations, navigation, weapons systems) - Any combat experience either A/A or A/G will help you get easier through training - Use of Supercarrier module - Syria, Persian Gulf and NTTR are frequently used, while other maps requirement depend on our combined ops campaigns What we can offer: · Friendly and not competitive environment · Support in A2A and A2G tactics and how to best employ F/A-18C in DCS · Server with multiplayer missions · Scenarios to cover all training needs of the Squadron · Engagement with other Squadrons to make the virtual flight more immersive · Debriefing using Tacview · Expertise in using VR in flight Our training goal as a squadron: - Standard ops: o Use of all aircraft systems o Carrier ops (CASE I, CASE II, CASE III, day and night) o Airfield operations ( Ground ops, departure and arrival ops, overhead break pattern landing) o Air to air refueling day and night o Formation flying and tactical turns o Radio communication – ATC, AWACS/GCI – in our large campaign human ATC and GCI are engaged (use of SRS) - Air to Air Combat: o BFM/ACM tactics and engagements – solo and as a pair o BVR tactics and engagements as a flight of 2 or 4 o Roles: CAP, TARCAP, BARCAP and ESCORT o Defensive maneuvers - Air to Ground Combat: o Employment of ordnance using standard attack profiles § Low Angle Strafe, High Angle Strafe, Low Altitutde High Drag, Low Altitude Low Drag, High Altitude Dive Bomb, Loft Profile o Precision bombing– L-GBUs, JDAMs, JSOWs, AGMs o SEAD and DEAD engagements – HARMs, TALDs, JDAMs lofting/sniping o SAMs evasion maneuvers o Using the ground radar for moving target (GMT mode) o CAS mission and syllabus (9-line) o Roles: STRIKE, SEAD/DEAD, OCA, CAS If your timeframe matches ours, you are enthusiastic to master each of our squadron goals with our support and you are eager to join large scale community campaigns, reach us through our discord: https://discord.gg/6dtu3DAnTc A small taste of what we do: https://youtu.be/TUjxWlXV7m4?si=wImJzar32dC7J8GH
  12. Thank you, I haven't noticed the change in settings and I didn't see that much of influence of this setting on F-18, that's why I was confused
  13. Is that a question or you know how to control reflections in the F-5E cockpit?
  14. The remastered version has some good elements but also some that are needing adjustment. The good ones are definitely the look and feel, the sounds during buffeting, the gun smoke and the vapors from the wings, the more rigid wings during high G turns. For the adjustment ones, I see a lot of reflections on the canopy and all glass surfaces in the cockpit. Not sure if a setting that needs adjustment or it's like this by design.
  15. Quest Pro user, I have Quad Views installed and it only works if I tick the QV switch in DCS VR tab. (I also tick the eye tracking one) System behaves as before in terms of FPS. In addition you can now see the installled OpenXR layers by hovering the mouse over the yellow exclamation right of QV tick box.
  16. In my case Quest Link is better but preferably with a good GPU as the Quest Link uses lot of VRAM. For example I use Quest Link with my Desktop with great results but I prefer VD with my laptop as the GPU is not that advanced. In addition wifi link (either Airlink or VD) needs a dedicated and good wifi router.
  17. I can confirm the fix is on public release and works as intented. Thanks @mbucchia and eventually Meta who for once responded properly (despite being late)
  18. I’ve tested again VD in preparation of the v68 bug and I have to say that visuals are up to the same level I have with Link. Using QuadViews ( I do use a WiFi 6 router dedicated to VD). If only SSW was in par to ASW and we had more options for image correction with VD as we have in OpenXR toolkit.
  19. I had similar crashes only in VR and my problem solved by renaming Saved Games folder and let DCS rebuild a new one from scratch. I then copied folders one by one from the old one until I reached the point of crash. In my case it was the binding of the Bombing Table function to a two way switch in Virpil CM3 throttle. Removed it and everything is fine now.
  20. Unfortunately an excellent module like M2000 may become a victim of the ongoing RB-ED case
  21. I had the same and it seems that is a bug not fixed in the last update
  22. No it’s not fixed
  23. if you have the same issue (meaning coming from bindings), I would suggest to rename your F-4 inputs folder and create a new one by importing one by one the joystick, throttle, rudders and see where the problem appears again. It maybe that the switch I used with my throttle (Virpil CM3) was causing the problem in combination with VR.
