EXPLANATION Why does the APACHE correctly roll to the left !
admiki replied to CHPL's topic in DCS: AH-64D
have track file? -
If you are flying solo player mission, once you exit it, you will see save track button. If flying multiplayer mission, go to your DCS saved games folder/tracks and find that file. Copy that file here so we can test it ourselves.

reported Please fix. "Generator failure" problem
admiki replied to Havremonster's topic in Bugs and Problems
ED promised they will focus efforts on DCS core and fixing some loooong standing bugs on Huey and Hip. I guess we'll have to wait and see how that goes. -
resolved Problem starting the right engine since the last hot fix patch.
admiki replied to Thunderchief2000's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Can you post track file for your mission? I have tested it multiple times and had no issues. I even tried that old bug where left pedal would prevent engine start, but engine started just fine. -
I totally agree on your points #2 and #3. Let's talk about your point #1. While you are correct that you should be able to activate attitude hold without concern if you are trimmed out or not, problem that would occur IRL is force trim. If you release force trim and then move cyclic to new position and then activate ATT hold, you will get a situation where servos are fighting mechanical springs that are trying to get cyclic to trimmed out position. I mean, cyclic would return to its trimmed position, but servos than would have to move to one side to get to ATT hold position, which risks running out of servo authority. And I don't know how FMC is affected by out of trim situation. So, it would make sense that you need to be trimmed out to activate ATT hold.

reported Please fix. "Generator failure" problem
admiki replied to Havremonster's topic in Bugs and Problems
I just tried it in SP. Full fuel and 6 bombs, I have no issues with loosing generators. RPM does droop to 90% Collective is at 11 deg pitch and I don't use "sync controls" option. On the ground, rotor will spike to 100%, engines will spool down and rotor will spool down, until it all stabilizes. If you start pulling collective before they stabilize, that's where the problem shows. In the air, if you apply collective immediately, rotor will not spike and you will not get engine spool down. -

While I agree that would be nice, you would have same problems that Airbus has: both pilots doing some crazy stuff and wondering why helicopter isn't responding as it should. Sorry to say, but Apache isn't really a suited to teach basic helicopter flight. One thing to avoid "jump" is to have both control sets displayed in controls indicator (as already done in Huey) so you can match controls before handover.

Apache autopilot disables controls when reset
admiki replied to MrShooty's topic in Bugs and Problems
Floyd has explained quite good already, but it would be helpful if you could record a video/track file of what's going on and also screenshot your special options for Apache. -
Depending on your controls and how you want to do it, you have 3 options: - radio select works as PTT (meaning you will need bindings for every radio you want to use) - same as above+separate PTT - 2 bindings for RTS up/down+separate PTT

And yet you have UB-32 pod on your left side. One thing that you need to remember, if you change something, game will keep it that way. So, no matter what the preset name says, if you changed that load in the past (even by accident) it will load that every single time.
-
OK, I know what you mean. No, I don't know if you can disable it, tbh it doesn't bother me
-
not sure what you mean by that. Have any photos?
-
You have changed your loadout. List says 2xB8 pods, yet you have one B8 and one UB32. There is a chart showing what loads you can combine. Since S-5 pods are "dumb", system thinks you have bombs. Anyway.....take a look here Edited to add:

I use Rift S too. Tried with both Tacca's mod and vanilla game, they look the same. Default NVG level, didn't mess with cockpit lights

@fargo007is your man. I know it works, but I have no idea how it works.
