In the attached track are 2 slam weapons. The target is a T90 at N43.46.00.58 E41.51.02.73. Waypoint 2 is set to the same lat long. The first slam is set to preplanned and the above coords are used. The second slam is TOO and WPT 2 is used to designate the target. The route is depicted below. The first slam seems to hit the T90 but it is not damaged. The second slam falls short and impacts short, roughly at N 43.45.49.06 Why is my TOO SLAM missing? Why didnt the first one obliterate the T90? (Forgive the difficulty I had w the autopilot. Dont know why the jet kept rolling to the right.) SLAMM.trk OOPS, it's a SLAM , not a SLAM ER. Typo in the title.

When I try to do a cold start, the right warning light lights up and says "GEN TIE". According to Chuck's guide, this means the Gen Tie switch is set to RESET. What is the cure? Is this the reason that my alignment does not start?

user error Flare and Chaff no working since last 2.9.9 update
jed40 posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Flare and chaff not working since last 2.9.9.2280 update. Previously it was working with a separate command on cyclic stick. Now, only one command seems to be existing "Input.CH47.CSG.fd_clpr_rel_press". I confirm by looking at the original input lua file with a comment as Flare/Chaff dispenser switch. But the command as no effect on flare and chaff. I confirm that the ASE switch is on ARM position with ARM light ON. On ASE menu on CDU, it is on OPERATE and CHAFF - FLARE are ENABLE. Normally that should work... but no... -
user error Cant enter waypoint offset range of more than 66 NM
RLTick posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
Hello, I'm getting a weird error where I can't enter a waypoint offset of more than 66NM. If I try to enter a larger value it flashes error. If I enter a larger numerical value into smaller units (e.g., 100 meters). I can then enter same same value into NM which will still flash error. but will move the offset to 100 NM. See attached track. Thank you offset range.trk -
Hi Guys Recently I discovered a strange issue with the nose wheel steering on my FA/18. When starting cold I am unable to engage NWS even though the bind I have used. It works when activated in the controls screen I can even see the Paddle behind he joy stick move in the cockpit when I use the assigned bind but I get no NWS display in the HUD. When I enter a single player mission and start the simulation in a started plane the NWS displays in the HUD and works normally, however as soon as I use the bind the NWS display is gone and I no longer have NWS function. If I take off and then return to land the NWS is displayed in the HUD and works when the plane has landed but again as soon as I use the bind it stops working again. I have searched this issue on line and in this forum and can't find any other user having this specific problem. Would certainly appreciate any thoughts on what I can do to resolve this issue which affectively stops me from using the module in MP servers. Many thanks

Did the flight model for the A-10C get changed?
jaylw314 posted a topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
A couple updates ago, I recall the F-16 FLCS got changed, and there were some issues with gains where people complained of the controls being too sensitive, then there was a fix this last update. Somewhere around that time, I think I started noticing that the A-10CII controls became more sensitive as well. Normally, it takes 1/2 to 3/4 back stick to rotate the nose, but recently, I've been almost having tail strikes from the nose snapping up with that kind of input. Likewise, at cruise speed, the controls sometimes feel much more sensitive than I recall in both pitch and roll, and I feel like I've been yanking the plane around lately. I'm wondering if this is somehow connected to the F-16 flight control changes. The problem is, I didn't record or test anything beforehand, so I have no idea if this is all in my head. Has anyone else noticed this? -
The F18 rolls heavily to the left and reset of the FCS switch does nothing . Pushing the Rudder trim button does nothing, of course since it it an elevator issue .. No idea how to stop the F18 from doing suicidal roll overs after 1) Landing at Carrier 2) getting repaired, refueled & rearmed 3) ReStarting up the F18 and getting cleared to takeoff from SO . All goes well , I am up in the air , and then the suicidal left roll over starts up. It does it every time I restart up and fly off of any of the carriers it seems. Flying 270 Degrees OR 90 Degrees makes no difference , it still constantly rolls to the left every time after I restart the F18 on a carrier. I just looked at the joystick and HOTAS controls on upper left of screen , they are all centered correctly. I then hit F2 and looked outside at the elevator & rudders positions , and they are centered . THUS , I have quickly deduced it as being a very frustrating SOFTWARE BUG!

The INS in the F-16 is buggy. When I play on Multiplayer Servers, with the Nevada map, my INS does not treat waypoints correctly, either because of some misalignment of the map grid, or because it doesn't record well. Basically, when I set a waypoint using the F10 coordinates of an object, the custom steerpoint does not take me there. Nor do the other steerpoints on the map already in place take me in the right direction. I do go through the entire INS startup procedure (selecting NORM on startup). I always have to enter new coordinates, which always triggers a new INS startup. I let it run until it states /10 and blinks RDY, and then I set it to NAV. Previous cross checks of the bullseye with wingmen confirms the correct bullseye numbers. Attached are the logs. dcs.log

I fly the Tomcat most of the time and I hadn't flown the F-16 in awhile until tonight, but I ran into a problem that I don't remember having before. The plane will not stop rolling left or right and I cannot focus on any AG workload without constantly trimming or rolling for corrections because AP does not stop the roll. I have watched several videos over the last 4 hours and my AP switches and settings are 100% correct. AP in the F-14 is a breeze and 100% reliable compared to the F-16, which is very surprising. Is it really that unsteady IRL? I find that hard to believe. It's done my head in to the point I'm about to buy the F-15E just to do AG missions in peace. Using an X-56 with zero roll issues in other aircraft. Any outside the box ideas before I give up on this bird?

So I noticed now that the HUD turns on differently during startup and didnt think anything about it until I started flying. Now it seems as though the HUD has an intermittent lag of up to 2-3 seconds most noticably with the flight path marker, I would go on a CCIP bomb run and line up and sometimes it jumps to new position (or jumps out of position for all I know) throwing off the CCIP line and pipper. The bombing accuracy in CCIP also seems worse but I am assuming that is attributed to the HUD. Is anyone else noticing this? I searched the forum after the update and didnt find anything pertaining to this issue.

Hi all I have a strange behaviour with my beloved Viper. When I set the Values in the CMDS page in DED, it doesnt seem to work like set. For example, I went to program 1 and set Chaff to 1 and Flare to 1, with 1 time Sequence for both, but when I release program 1 it still releases a bunch of chaff and flares (20 or so). Is there an bug? Thanks for Info.

I've been having problems with my Virpil Warbird/F-14 grip combo in-game that I can't replicate outside of it. Within the Virpil config software, each switch throw is functioning correctly. Off to gun, to sidewinder, to sparrow/ph, and back to "off" with no detected dysfunction. Each switch reports back correctly when tested. However, in-game moving from off to any of the weapon choices causes a flurry of ghost selections in rapid succession sometimes winding up at the right selection, but many times not. To solve the problem I have to reselect the correct choice until the series of rapidly changing choices settles on the correct selection. Super frustrating. Any ideas?

Hello everyone, Navigation no longer works for me since the system was changed in the second to last patch. If I set an attack point (waypoint) on a building to then attack it in CCRP mode, this point, like the other waypoints, is also quite far away from the desired coordinates. Accordingly, the attack in CCRP no longer works. I have attached a few screenshots and the track file. Even if I carry out a NAV FIX on the last waypoint before the target, it doesn't improve things. In the screenshots you can see: Target point in the mission editor (the three buildings should be attacked with 4xMK-84) In the HUD you can then see the deviation from the target point to the three buildings (these are in the red circle) In the TGP you can see where the last waypoint before the target is (it should actually be exactly on the small bridge) You can then see where one of the MK-84s hit and where the three buildings are (in the red circle) Is this a bug or am I too stupid? Or is this a phenomenon that results from the fact that the development of the system is not yet complete. I do the NAV alignment exactly as it should be done according to the instructions. It would be nice if you took a look at it. Best regards Mario Broken_CCRP.trk

Easy to reproduce if someone would please check it out. Load up your A-10C II, take off, drop/shoot off some ordinance, return, refuel and re-arm, take off again and the auto pilot isn’t working anymore. Noticed this after the most recent update. Unless something is being turned off or reset during the rearm/refuel process, I don’t know what’s going on?

user error Disappearing HMD retical when slaved to the HUD
Nialfb posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
I have aligned my HMD from a cold start. In flight, I can slave the SOI to my hud and the centre dot appears. If I turn on my HMD and then slave to the HUD, the centre dot flashes momentarily, goes out and I do not see the reticle in the HMD. It used to work fine and has only started misbehaving if I carry out an HMD alignment. Can anyone else confirm this behaviour? -
Since the recent update when I cold start my A-10Cii its Altimeter is in pneumatic mode and will not switch to electric mode, no matter how many times I hit the mode switch, including trying after both engines are up and running.

I attached a clip. As you can see I believe my bombing procedures are all correct but I just cannot hit the target. For the GPS bomb, It won't hit the target wearhouse. For the Laser bomb, It cannot release. And there is one time it released but it won't explode. And for the CBUs, same problem as before, you put the crosser on the target and release, it just hit somewhere else. I am fed up with this FA18 bomb. I see the update of the new fuse, which give me an opportunity to choose different fuse, is no use at all. Cause there is no different at all with different fuse. CBU CCIP problems.trk

Hello, flying at night, I`m not able to switch on any external lights of the Hornet. I know which dials I have to turn but the result is always ZERO. Would be nice to get some help.

I can't get to go beyond 40-50 kn and the aircraft is swinging all over the sky like a hammock, unable to get it to fly straight. Now I am not sure if this is my skill issue, or it is due to the computer not being able to keep up with the aircraft's dynamics. dcs.log
