Awesome Upuaut! Love the new vehicles. Ty for your hard work.

 

I was wondering if it is possible and if you would want to make a mast like the one you have with out the cribbing and instead of it being rigged from the middle, rigging it for the sling load from the top. As a tower climber in real life I think it would be cool to simulate stacking atleast one section with a helicopter. Depending on the size of crane we have and how close we can get to the base of the tower we'll build several sections (60-100 feet) laying on the ground. We will then rig to the top and stand the tower up and move it into position vertically. Could be cool to try and tilt it up with a helicopter and put it in position.

 

EDIT: Just looked at the new vehicles included in Wolf Mod in game 2.0 and they're great. Will definitely be making good use of these. Ty again!

Anyone getting an invalid archive error for the wolf mod? I've downloaded it a couple of times and 7zip won't open it and I'm wondering if it is just my end or there is something wrong with the file up on the download location?

why don't ED officialise this mod into the base package for helicopters?

Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Also added two new cargos.

 

The "Complete_upuaut_Mods" is still available for download. It's for all DCS versions. Link.

I've installed your two new Mods for DCS 1.5.4 but with this Mod "Helipads_only 1.5.4" at "db_units_ground.lua" file these 2 lines are missing:

 

fortification( "hospital", _("Hospital"), "Hospital", 100);

fortification( "leuchtturm1", _("leuchtturm1"), "leuchtturm1", 100, true); --on water

 

Please can you tell me if it's a mistake from me or no ?

 

 

Also into your "StructTable.sht" from "Helipads_only 1.5.4" I can find these lines please can you tell me if it's necessary to add these lines to my "StructTable.sht" ?

I have removed the "hangar" from the "StructTable.sht", it's not inside "helipads only".

 

The "db_units_ground.lua" looks ok to me, I can find the two lines in the file.

+1 to this... Really could use some more objects for MP missions. Has any thought gone into developing fences or walls to create a more fortified position (eg a true FOB)?

Hi upuaut,

 

this is really a great MOD! But, I believe I found a BUG in cargo operations -- either in your MOD, or in the DCS.

 

Problem:

- after you release external cargo (using "Autounhook"), the weight of cargo still affects the helicopter.

 

How to reproduce:

0) use DCS v1.5.4

1) start the attached mission (UH-1-CargoTest.miz) as offline mission (or maybe any other mission with cargo operations, I suppose)

2) choose some cargo, something heavy (1500 kg or more -- just up to the limit of the Chopper)

3) hook the cargo, then fly with it for a few minutes

4) Turn on "Autohook Activation" -- so the cargo is unhooked when it hits the ground

5) Put the cargo on the ground, so it should be unhooked

6) Fly back to base -- you can "feel", that the Chopper is still "heavy" -- even though it should be empty with small amount of fuel.

 

It seems that the weight of the cargo is still "present" in the Chopper and not correctly "released" with the unhook event.

 

Is this a problem with the MOD? Or a new version of DCS 1.5.4? Your mod in combination with previous DCS 1.5.3 worked good -- this is the problem just of the present version.

I did notice this behavior from the Helis (Mi8 and UH-1) on the VA-Server. I think it is a DCS-Bug.

I don't see most of the textures as I don't have a autoexec.cfg file in my

 

C:\Users\"your username"\Saved Games\DCS\Config\

 

folder.

 

Any tips?

you can create the file, it is a txt-file. You can find an example in my Dropbox.

Missing Seafort, Redsands, Heliports and Hospital

 

Hi,

thanks a lot for your great work.

Unfortunately, in my DCS your

Seafort, Redsands, Heliports and Hospital do not appear. :cry:

 

By the way some of your dropbox download Targets seem to be missing.

Perhaps you forgot some of your excellent 3D Objects in your compressed packages?

 

Seafort, Hospital and redsands would be sooooo great!:thumbup:
