Definitely, they are full of interesting info. Volume 1 covers the JG that flew the squadrons and has pilots accounts and colour profiles. Volume 2 covers D-9 to D-11, special weapons and interestingly problems and complaints by the different listed by JG's. Witchking Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I hate to say it, but my eyes went right there too... reminds me of the fans in the stands in old racing games :) I agree...I noticed that too..but thats a limitation of the current map...not to mention that when strafing ground targets in an A-10 or doing touch and go's with a PFM flanker, the plane based trees in the old map don't bother me any more. :p I am just excited to see a true evolution of the TFCSE from lock on days back in 2003. Bucic Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 (edited) The way that the lighting emphasizes the intersection of the 2D planes that make up the trees in the second shot is really distracting (to me). Who cares? :) It's an old asset. It also shows how important lighting is. You get a tree like that rendered in EDGE and it looks like a plywood model of a tree BUT taken from the real world. Damn, I'd love to see the Flanker 2.0 Mi-8 3D model in EDGE. Most of the aircrafts of the Allied look more or less streamlined and sleek. But the german ones are "all engine" - the nose just seem to say "I got a BIG and POWERFULL engine" ... :o) And still looking elegant ... and not as bulky as for example a Bearcat. The 190 pilot looks great except for the fact that he has no oxygen mask. It's the same with the WWII P-51 pilot model.
