If you say so.

I'm sure you have been drooling over the vids just like the rest of us and we both know its worth the wait.

We would rather have a polished product that takes a bit longer then a half finished module now ... but that's just me :p

I think my brain just fell over. :P

I am very much looking forward to the MiG, but waiting will make the release that much sweeter.

I am actually surprised we haven't heard anything yet.

I kinda expected a release date announcement by now , I know Cobra was vague when he said the first few days of Sep.

If i remmeber correct never was a module relased during a sale action like now. This sale will end on 14 of september so i say the mig will be relassed after it.

I was just thinking the same thing yesterday when I read of the sale.

However the guy's over at VEAO are hoping to get the Hawk ready for sale on the Duxford airshow weekend of 13th/14th Sept, as they are attending.

What I do find strange is that it has been said by the devs that the Mig will be released on Steam on 1st Oct, but the ED e shop is still TBA......did Steam contribute to the dev costs to get it for sale on their site first, or at least the same time as the ED shop?

Indeed, it seems to have become standard practice to put existing modules on sale before the release of new ones.

Nah, as Im aware of, steam just have some strict rules about stuff being released through them. They need to know a date, and they need to know it x. amount of weeks/months in advance.

Yep, I don't think we'll see Mig-21 until 22-29th September..

I can wait a bit more..

I would have thought they would have released it when the hype was really high following the testers being allowed to post videos etc... Everyone was talking about it. Hype seems to have died down since then. I was kind of hoping it was going to release today. Oh, well. Maybe next week some time.

I agree to some degree on this. Take advantage of the momentum hype, but I'm sure there were still other things that had to be in place for a clean release. I'm sure the hype will return once an announcement is made on a release date for the ED e-shop.

Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz; Gigabyte Z370XP SLI Mobo; G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 16GB 256-Bit GDDR6; Thermaltake Water 3.0 Certified Liquid Cooling System

Windows 11 Professional

HP Reverb G2 /TrackIR 5 in case VR dies; Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog w/ Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals

It seems that a fairly large number of bugs were uncovered when they gave it out to a few people and now they have to fix those.

Err......on a lighter note!

I was faffing around doing searches and came across Leathernecks Facebook page (I'm not on Facebook at all so have never seen these screenies before!) and it just blew me away.......completely.

Link...... https://www.facebook.com/pages/DCS-Mig-21Bis/515416408503951?sk=photos_stream&ref=page_internal

The detail is astounding, just look at that ejection seat! and the rest of the pit looks extremely realistic with that old well used look. Absolutely brilliant work. I assume we are going to be able to see all this when you look around the pit with Trackir?

This shot https://www.facebook.com/515416408503951/photos/pb.515416408503951.-2207520000.1410008920./584432838268974/?type=3&theatre sure brings home how cramped the cockpit on this aircraft really was, I can almost smell it, it looks so good!

The external detail on the skin with the chipped paint and exposed rivets!!

I applaud the guy's at Leatherneck for this astounding piece of work.

Now......gimme.....gimme....gimme!!!!! :pilotfly:
