What DCS is lacking is a real world Dynamic Campaign that can offer more and offer more tools that can meet approved militarys an airforce standard.

With a dynamic campaign can make it modular and customizable for players and users and offer more to people.

There is a long long thread about this, please keep this thread free of wishlist items, thanks.

I am able to receive the Nevada being a beta a10c buyer. How do I go about getting it?

Neither DCS World 2.0 nor NTTR Map are already available. Must wait. ;)

Seems to be some good detail on current issues with DCS - worth a watch.

Nate

use your ears...i would not look at this fly skill....! :music_whistling:

In summary:

- Open Alpha will have DCS World 2.0 + NTTR (payware or free for A-10C Beta User) + Caucasus + Su-25T + TF-51D (no split to bring DCS World 2.0 earlier!)

- Dedicatet Server after the OpenAlpha (no date)

- All Aircrafts in DCS World 1.0 will work in DCS World 2.0

- each client in a Multicrew-Aircraft need a Licence for this aircraft

- tree blocking of sights and weapon impact later (dependent on the performance!)

- Low Detail Area on NTTR: No Objects

- NTTR should get an overhaul (hopefully) after release Strait of Hormuz

- Spitfire (external model) fly in DCS World 2.0

- the Team is working at MP issue, fix crashes and optimization - if these done, they will release it just the next day.

the rest is more or less what we know (if i not forgot something)!

We can hope 2.0 before 2016?
Possibly. Wags mentioned that there likely wouldn't be another 1.2.xxx update and that the next one would be 2.0. I'll take that as a positive sign.

I take this as the strongest hint of an imminent release of 2.0. Great news!

They're making good progress. Every time he opens a new screen whether Multi-Player server selection, multi-player aircraft selection, Encyclopedia, Mission Editor, etc. I see things I love.

I think in my head the next reasonable date to hope for is sometime in September. The P-40F is coming, supposedly in September, http://veaosimulations.co.uk/product/p-40f/ To that end we'll either need a 'small' update or 2.0, I would think, in order to add the model for non-purchasers, etc. Either way though, if you watch the streams they're looking very good, aside from the occasional crashes, which even in the last few streams have been cut way back. And as it's in heavy development I don't even think that's unexpected. With a couple more months time I wouldn't be surprised if they can fix most the rest.

And whether that means a release or just watching Wags for an hour of play without hitting a crash it'd be a good sign of progress, so either way, all good.

Anyway, I don't think the breath holding comments are much warranted anymore. There is no doubt there is something nearly working at this point.

If you were to gauge it by the release of the P-40 then I would hope to see an alpha much sooner. I would hope they would like to have it in an open beta state before releasing the P-40. Just my thoughts. :)

To (kind of) respond to Xaoslaad:

I like what I see just as much as the next person but they haven't given a release date for a reason. The last time they gave a (hint of) release was for the Holidays. That is now almost 8 months ago. I'm not trying to be a dick in any way but saying that "the dont hold your breath comments arent much warrant anymore" ect. doesn't really ring true, does it. Even if it turns out that you are right and we see a release in September, the "dont-hold-your-breath"-crowd would still have statistics on their side.

For all we know it might be here in a week, in September or maybe around the holidays. I sure does looks good though and one thing is for sure, I've stopped holding my breath :).

Yeah I agree, It's just one of those things you can't really estimate. Cause right now they are trying to figure out and solve problems so you can't really tell how long that takes you just kinda have to do it, he did mention they are putting the entire team on it, rather then updating the DCSW1 anymore, but in any case we are definitely getting close I would say at least this year.

Is it possible to get some comparison pictures for the Model Visibility (OFF/Normal/Enlarged) - so we can see the different between these parameters under simular conditions?
