DayGlow Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Thanks for the clarification, I am glad cause I already feel guilty getting NTTR for free, well just a little bit:smilewink: Why? We supported DCS before it was the success it is now. 1 "It takes a big man to admit he is wrong...I'm not a big man" Chevy Chase, Fletch Lives 5800X3D - 64gb ram - RTX3080 - Windows 11
Rocky49 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Actually DCS 2 is free, it will follow on 1.5 for no cost to anyone. Only new maps will be for a fee so each user can decide where he/she wants to fly. Axion Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Apologies, silly question time. Am I correct in assuming if we, the 159th, want to host the NTTR map on our dedicated server, we will also have to purchase it? thxne Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 So I'm assuming that there is no pre-order or isn't going to be on Steam? I use Steam exclusively and being that I purchased all my modules on it and the keys for Steam don't work on the standalone anymore, I guess us Steam users are kinda boned?
Kelevra9987 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 All Steam Key will work in Standalone but not Vise Versa. But yes you can move yours Steam keys to the standalone, just not the other way. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Hook47 Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 With a fully loaded Mig-21, without losing any of the ordenance :megalol: Beautiful scenery by the way! NTTR is looking epic! Challenge accepted, comrade. Yes it is looking AWESOME. The trailer made me feel like I was watching terrain for some type of FPS game.

Or you could look at it the other way, steam users are kinda boning ED, seeing as valve take a minimum of 30% of sale price..... 1 PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
McBlemmen Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Or you could look at it the other way, steam users are kinda boning ED, seeing as valve take a minimum of 30% of sale price..... Last time i checked steam users are still buying stuff and giving ed money so they're not "boning" anyone. You people act like steam is robbing ED , never considering the amount of extra customers that got to DCS because of steam. If it was really "boning" ED , DCS wouldn't be on steam in the first place.
thxne Posted September 11, 2015 Posted September 11, 2015 Or you could look at it the other way, steam users are kinda boning ED, seeing as valve take a minimum of 30% of sale price..... That's not us users fault, but rather Steam and their policies with game sales fault. Been a user on Steam for years and now these days having games separated (Origin/Uplay), it's ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I love DCS, there is nothing like it out there. If I have to, I guess I will switch over to the standalone at one point. But for the time being I enjoy my hours being accounted for and being able to use the Steam UI overlay etc.

Psyrixx Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Ahem...:book: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/nttr_terrain/ GTX970 is two generations newer than the GTX780, so I think he'll be fine. :P Robert Sogomonian | Psyrixx website| e-mail | blog | youtube | twitter
XeNoise Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 GTX970 is two generations newer than the GTX780, so I think he'll be fine. :P Its actually one gen newer. The 8 series never exsisted, exept for some rebrands of 7 series gpu. (Mobile, no desktop) Anyways the two gpus are performing almost equally, 780 might beat 970 at 1080p, while the 970 would perform better at higher resolutions. Sorry for OT
aboodspin Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I have Sapphire Taxic R9 280x from my old Build just the cpu is new 4790K i bought it since 1 year ago, i play Battlefield 4 - call of duty Bo3 beta , bo2 , GTA V , highest settings no lag, but in DCS im having 40 - 20 Frames, i think because the game is old, anyway my new build 6th gen of cpu and 980 TI is coming next 2 weeks :D
