I don't know if you can answer or not, just curious. I dont think the Hornet is anywhere near ready to be released, I'd expect DCS World 2 to be released much sooner.

From what I understand, the PFM is the majority of the work.

Something along the lines that it's still a ways off from being completed or that it's coming together nicely or even being worked on at all? I asked about this earlier also... ... I do wonder how the PFM for the F-18C is going also since the F-15 & Su-27 PFM were to to set the path for the F-18C. One would think that with the time since the announcement that things should be looking pretty solid. McBlemmen Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Slightly less wonderful if it delays 2.0 for another month, otherwise I agree. A month? Try 6. I'd much rather have 2.0 available and wait for 6 months before multicrew gets incorporated then wait 6 more months for 2.0. Honestly they can take as long as they want , i've kinda stopped caring. At this point this is starting to remind me a lot of duke nukem forever. It's going so slow that technology is actually upgrading faster.

I have to hibernate DCS till 2.0 and those updates now. I can't deal with the Su33 dipping into the deck on the Kuznetsov after reading this. :) But hey... great update though. A lot of fantastic new features. Only disappointment is the wait. I guess now it is at a really "Its done when its done". Nevyn Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) I just saw a video of 2.0, I have been avoiding finding out too much about it, seriously ED, I am not the type to give false flattery, but it took my breath away, a dude in an F-15 at 10000 or so feet (I think), he did a roll, looked out the pit and my jaw dropped at the view. I should not have watched that video, dammit, but I rather you just took you time if this what you going to produce. Not going to watch another vid though, screw that, ignorance is bliss they say. Airbuster Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Lol, now I've realized with all the people whining about 2.0 delay and the beautiful screenshots of Mig-29's pit, people have missed one really important and much awaited thing - DCS: F-18C! Looking at the screenshot I see that the pit pretty much looks complete, and that the screenshot was taken in game. You can see the mountains and a lake through the canopy. We've never seen stuff like that before, only wip .max renders. Good to see that ED is moving forward, with the cockpit ingame, this means they are testing and implementing various systems. DCS really needs multirole modern fighter jet. Lol, again that Mig-29 stole the show from the Hornet :)

The screenshot is probably in-game, true, but the important thing is the development of all the internal systems. If you check closer you can see that all the dials are dead, there are no needles, no displays. But who knows if this is because the systems are not modeled yet or because they were simply not hooked up to the cockpit animations yet. primus_TR Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I'm enjoying the current version of DCS, so I don't mind waiting a few more months, or years even, for 2.0. Just take your time to make sure it's up to your standards. Will we have to wait for the release of 2.0 to get the new Mig 29, though?
six.dof Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 i would lie if i am not disapointed, current situation is the best, as DCS 2.0 is delayed without new date, that takes some pressure from the ED team, to get the needed time to sort priority and work systematic on the remaining issues. out of this situation i have still question for Mig29, Su33 PFM...... does this hanging on DCS2.0 or they come with some patch for DCS?
