Apples Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 A month? Try 6. I'd much rather have 2.0 available and wait for 6 months before multicrew gets incorporated then wait 6 more months for 2.0. Honestly they can take as long as they want , i've kinda stopped caring. At this point this is starting to remind me a lot of duke nukem forever. It's going so slow that technology is actually upgrading faster. I agree, Specially with them getting it up to DX 11 when DX 12 is right around the corner! Yup, and there is probably developers starting to develop for DX12 that by the time their game is out, DX13 will be close... its a never ending cycle, but so is bring it up over and over apparently... lazduc Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Question You can't purchase it. They announced the intended price, not availability for sale. Yes I understand its not for sale now. But it seems like it may be offered before DCS2 and EDGE....which I did not follow....err understand. Like I mentioned.....isn't the NTTR map programmed to take advantage of EDGE and DCS2?:dunno:

Rogue Trooper Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Shame it is delayed, but without doubt it will be superb once it finally gets here. I prey it is released this year as I am just gagging for high FPS (more than 30) with mirrors and internal cockpit shadows. Never seen it mentioned before but I do wonder if toggle switches will be better serviced in the joystick setup menu?..?... I wonder. True, but the developers should be the first to understand complexity and should have not given us estimates that are off by years:music_whistling: Furthermore, it appears to me that they have continuously increased complexity by introducing more and more features. If only they released improvements step by step they would reduce complexity. Rogue Trooper Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I get it. :) People who complain the most are usually the most invested, emotionally or otherwise... I do beg to differ. However I would add that the emergence of dual station aircraft that we all want is the main crux of the problem..... of course I am guessing. Multiplayer single aircraft ability as well as dual cockpit AI assisted flight ain't no stroll in the park and surely is a critical and fundamental part of the DCS Engine. Rogue Trooper Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Well it doesn't apply to ever scenario, but sometimes it can be construed as, "they care enough to complain", IMO anyway. Rookie Ray Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 This is dissapointing but they have been pushing this back for years, wouldn't surprise me if it was complete vaporware. Probably the worst part about this is that the map is $40. 40 Dollars for a map, what the hell? One single map is the same price as the A-10? What? Disgusting. I'll wait for this one to be under 10 dollars. It's shocking that there is only one map now but it amazes me that people are okay with this. Shocking. 1

I understand that it's a monumental task however, DCSW2 is a FREE update for everyone. NTTR is just a map, that's it. 40 Dollars for a map is insane. This also means that the Strait of Hormuz map will be priced about the same. It's crazy. How are people okay with paying 40 dollars for one map? I don't understand it.

VincentLaw Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 It's crazy. How are people okay with paying 40 dollars for one map? I don't understand it.Keep in mind that this is ED's first time selling a map to consumers. It might be better to consider $40 more as a test price than their final future pricing policy for all maps (everything is subject to change after all). If it turns out they are able to sell significantly more maps at a reduced price, then something less expensive may become the norm. I would not be surprised if it makes it into a 70% off flash sale within a year of release anyway. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
