Dash 34 is the standard name for the USAF manuals regarding the Non Nuclear weapons delivery.

T.O. 1F-5E-34-1-1 F-5E/F Tiger II Aircrew Nonnuclear Weapons Delivery Manual

So this is the weapons delivery manual (dash 34 or -34) of the F-5E block 1, first revision, date: march 1980.

Well the F-5E modeld should not use the Aim-120 (since its not one of the new upgraded models).

Also it appears to just have the APQ-153 wich would make it a different variant from the one we are getting.

Nah, if you actually read the manual it contains details of the function of both the AN/APQ-153 and the AN/APQ-159-4, which radar was shipped with the plane and the inclusion of any RWR or not was up to the customer afaik.

well the APQ-159-4 is not for the F-5E.

Its for the 2 Seat F-5F.

The one Seat Variant would be the APQ-159-3.

And i did say it Appears to have the APQ-153 as i must have missed the single page Mentioning the APQ-159 .

But its still not the variant that is being modeld (if the statements are true)

And that was the reason for my comment

And if you actually read my comment you would know that

But It doesnt say what block is being developed. So saying its going to be the F5E block 3, when its not confirmed is spreading mis information.

lets wait until someone from ED or belsimtek confirms this, instead of speculating.

ED Team Members / ED Partners Have strongly suggested/Stated that the F-5E-3 is the F-5E variant being modeld.

So thats the most likley variant as of yet so unless we get info stating otherwise thats the variant we should focus on.

Ps.

Thank you Tarres for clearing the designation meaning up. =)

Can we stop all this AIM-120 nonsense now?

That list surely can be depleted the Mk-36 destructor mine, M192E2 Leafet bomb, BLU-1/-27/-32 Fire Bomb, CBU-49/52/58/71, TDU-10 and TDU-11 :(

Ah OK thanks for clearing that up. I thought -34 was the block number.

This is the post being referred to. It is not an official announcement, but it is not misinformation either.

Okay thanks. Sorry but missed that post entirely.

So if it's most likely the f5e block 3? What sources are they using.

Myself and other forum members have only been able to find f5E1 manuals and the dash 34 weapons delivery manual. (Which I confused for a f5e34)

Anyone been able to find got any sources or technical manuals for the f5e3?

Does anyone know what the angular velocity tracking coordinator at AIM-9P4/5?

The AIM-9P1/2/3 only 16.5 degrees per second, it misses the mark by manoeuvring targets.

I think P4 it should be like AIM-9L, but there is no information.

From what i understand the Seeker/Guidance on the Aim-9P 4/5 Are more advanced while the Body is more or less the same as the Aim-9P3 (Wich has improved guidance electronics, and faster-actuating control surfaces aswell as a more advanced warhead compared to the P1/P2 and earlier Aim-9s (J,E,N,B Etc)

So while the Seeker is All Aspect (though slightly less advanced then L/M Seekers) it is less manuverable then the L/M variants.

One more thing, the F-5E-1 is not the manual for the block -1.

Dash 1 (-1) is the standard designation of the USAF for flight manuals.

So:

T.O. 1F-5E-1-1

is the flight manual for the F-5E, revision 1 from August 1978.

If BST is modelling the block 3 (or E-3) and it has a RWR, the manuals -1 and -34 will be revisions from the 80´s.

But these dash 1 and dash 34 will give us an accurate idea about the plane, except the RWR thing. USAF upgrades in the 80´s were about safety, radios, -159 with more modern gunsight and the RWR but nothing else.

Another different thing are the export models, every country selects a different configuration regarding radios, Nav systems, the "Maverick mode" for the CRT, fuel probe...

Regards.

It was warranted when I created it, I do not have the power to remove it however, I tried. A mod could though if they are about...

looks like we might get 2 verions:

"C:\"your folder"\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\CoreMods\aircraft\F-5E" lists two lua files, F-5E and F-5E-3.

F-5E.lua lists a RADAR = "AN/APQ-159"

F-5E-3.lua lists a RADAR = "AN/APQ-153",

other changes as well, but you can see for yourself ;)

Are you looking at aerobatics or F/A use?

Interesting little plane. We have one of the USMC Aggressor F-5's parked across the street...oddly enough in a warehouse parking lot.
