OnlyforDCS Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 RCS? Sorry, that was a brainfart, got my acronyms mixed up. Meant to say FCS :music_whistling: Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

WildBillKelsoe Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 So my credit card is itching and it wants to know, preferably from ED, what weapons will be included in the open beta, or the product in general. ED? I mean I tried to reason with it, but its so timid. Call it a lover's tiff. Its itching even more now that its charged... :D AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
Goblin Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Does anybody know if there will be a civilized option for the L-39, without the sight? I'm thinking about all of us that will simulate the different aerobatic teams ;)
GeorgeLKMT Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 (edited) We don't know. There are people asking about this already in QA thread so hopefully Wags will give us an answer. It would be nice thing to have though. Edited August 12, 2015 by GeorgeLKMT ■ L-39C/ZA Czech cockpit mod ■ My DCS skins ■
Blaze Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Would be a nice option. Goblin Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Ok. I'll cross my fingers then... ;) I've already pre-purchased the module, and I'm sure I will enjoy it either way, but it sure would be a nice option. I would think that it would be easy to implement too...
Oubaas Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Hmmm. If there's any truth to the rumor that we're going to DCS World 1.5 at the end of September, I need to pre-purchase the L-39 module soon. I love this airplane.

Johnny Dioxin Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Didn't say which year, either :music_whistling: Only joking - for those who are really serious about their Albatros flying, you could always book a training holiday... http://www.prideaircraft.com/l39groundschool.htm or have a go for yourself... http://www.prideaircraft.com/l39flightschool.htm You can bring your own, too... http://www.controller.com/list/list.aspx?mdlgrp=L-39 You all probably already know about those, but being an old duffer, it takes me a while to catch up with everything :smilewink: Rig: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS; Ryzen 7800X3D ; 64GB DDR5 5600; RTX 4080; VPC T50 CM2 HOTAS; Pimax Crystal Light I'm learning to fly - but I ain't got wings With my head in VR - it's the next best thing!
Goblin Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Brixmis, the fact that the L-39 is available for "joy rides" in real life is one of the reasons I'm looking forward to fly it in DCS... ;-)
OnlyforDCS Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Pre-ordered. This is the first time I've pre-ordered a product from ED, I thought trainers would never interest me but for some reason I'm looking forward to learning & flying this plane. I blame Wags. Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

Suchacz Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) For me, the biggest advantage is that this nice little bird is very well documented in the freely accesible manuals, even in English. I have 600+ pages complete original training manual in Czech. I cant wait to put it in use :P ...and cant wait to try the hood over the trainee's head for the instrumental flight  Edited August 29, 2015 by Suchacz Per aspera ad astra! OnlyforDCS Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 So...since this is the first time I've pre-purchased a module from ED I'm not really sure what the drill is. Will the module simply appear in the module manager as available for download once it is released? Will the module simply appear in the module manager as available for download once it is released?Yes, but probably after a version change. Every release appears after a new version even though the new version only point is the release without further DCS changes. S!
