I don't think price is particularly bad, may be $50 would have been more inline with usual module price but I think A-10C was also released with $60 tag right? In the end it is RAZBAM's call and I'm sure they have a reason behind their decision.

 

That said, I'm not getting pre-order modules anymore, I'll wait and see release and if it will have EFM available or not. It is ok paying the little difference between preorder and full release prices, I'd even be happier paying full price for a well made product.

 

I will wait for upcoming releases and initial impressions. If they all get made nicely, there will be lots of money to spend on DCS for me in next few months between Mirage, P-40 and upcoming Leatherneck modules :).

 

Edit : Oh, and congrats to RAZBAM for the first DCS presale! and first DCS level 4th gen fighter module :)

I bought this purely to support the project and because I want to fly model. However, I think the price of an AFM model is too high compared to other products, but I wish the project all the best. :smilewink:

I also bought it today for same reasons but the price is a bit... bold :). My concern is that many of the potential buyers for just 50$ will stay away and in the long run will hurt sales. It happened before I think.

Nope, I paid $59.99 for the Hog on 24/2/11... Wish I'd bought it a few days earlier. I agree this one is a little pricey, but that's Razbams call so they must be confident the product is worth it, as long as it doesn't become the norm.

Will there be a texture template? And if there is, may you please include the "overlay" that ED does in their official templates? Not sure what it is called, but it essentially shows the 3D model. Makes it easy to figure out what part is what.

Related to my previous post. What I meant was that the price of a AFM model compared to a PFM model is a bit high. But it's my own opinion. I bought it, so it's not I think that people should not buy it or anything like it. But as a strategy, if you want to attract new customers, price seems high in my opinion. That´s all :thumbup:

$59.99 for an AFM product does sound a bit high so I think I'll wait for the reviews. It's definitely worth $59.99 when it becomes a PFM (with good reviews). I generally pre-purchase just to support the developers and would do so this time if the price was a bit lower. My fingers are crossed because I would love to have this one.
