Remember M3 has no a map team. The only map incoming has ED Marianas WW2.

• M3 has building F4U Corsair + WW2 PTO assets pack.
• ED has building F6F Hellcat + WW2 PTO assets pack + Marianas WW2 map

Yep, I said also time ago when Hellcat was just a faint pic and ED's WWII carrier a wet dream, it might all happen at once or maybe in a quick succession, but since ED is also making their own PTO it only and absolutely makes sense they try to make them all happen about the same time so people can't complain the usual, "I got a Corsair/Hellcat and I have no map to fly in and no foes to combat against". Don't know about their internal policy about that (I believe they usually try not to release many things at once so people can afford/don't lose interest on some module) but it only makes sense to get it all about together, a whole pretty much fleshed out theatre at once, map, two carriers (maybe ED's one in Supercarrier's fashion?), two modules and assets for the theatre. They'd absolutely crush it that way, if you ask me.

I believe that the F-4U is already ready, but it should not be launched until the Second World War Marianas map is finalized with the units that will come. Everything must be released at practically the same time. Of course this is what I believe.

Let's hope it means it's really close, even though releases are usually spaced and right now we have had some, and more are coming. Dunno if they'd make so many releases in such a short space of time.

Fair enough, but I’ll take it as soon as it’s ready and just simulate flying a warbird in modern times. The map and other products can come later.

In which the opposite of what ED has said.  They've said there is no cooperation between Mag3 and ED for release of projects. 

But it wouldn't be the first time ED has "changed their minds "

I think that ED will decide when the release will be. And the release will be only when Mariana WWII and PTO Assett Pack will be ready. This will be then a carry over for subsequent Hellcat release and eventually the Zeke, to setup a good starting point to the Pacific theater.

A couple of years back ED said there was no coordination between  the Mag3 Corsair and the WW2 Marianas map. 

Is this still the case?

What's not what I asked. 

A few years back ED said there was no coordination between Mag3s Corsair and EDs WW2 Marianas map.

Mag3 doesn't start earning money on their module until it's released, so I doubt ED would make such a decision even if they could.

If there's not a map and some AI aircrafts and Assett to support the Corsair Mag3 will earn less money. More over ED has the final word on every release, so yes, I'm still saying that from a purely marketing standpoint it's the case.

We have plenty of modules that don't really have a home.

Like I-16 and the upcoming LA-7.

Exactly, not having a complete scenario with coherent planeset was the big fault (also with the higher starting investment due by the map/assett pack/at least one module) of WWII in DCS. I think that people at ED are smarter enough to understand this and to change (or at least partially change) direction with the PTO.
