What modules are you looking forward to?

More unnerved by the "fix XY before you work on Z" argument...

Yeah, let's say this was a "social experiment" or something along those lines.

On these boards it's possible to observe this phenomenon:

Guy 1 opens thread about Z

Expert of DCS rants about ED being busy fixing XY, working on Z is a stupid wishlist request.

and the opposite:

Guy 1 asks to fix XY

Expert of DCS rants about ED being busy doing Z, XY is in beta so don't complain.

That's all. Admittedly the first part of my post was OT. So are OT the posts of the various "Experts of DCS" in other threads.

i need some sleep

Windows 10 - Intel i7 7700K 4.2 Ghz (no OC) - Asus Strix GTX 1080 8Gb - 16GB DDR4 (3000 MHz) - SSD 500GB + WD Black FZEX 1TB 6Gb/s

The basic problem is, that people think ED is a one man show of sorts and if the one guy isn't fixing XY nobody is working on Z.

Like EVERY other company they team up specialists for tasks.

So the guys programming airplane flight models and avionics shall do what exactly on the netcode?!

Would you let a companies HR team, or accounting, run machines on the shopfloor or do the job of the sales guys?

You can't even put unqualified ressources into a project and hope to speed it up!

In fact bringing the new guys up to speed will delay the project further, as specialist need to train them instead of working on the project.

And to be clear, my personal oppinion and experience here. No ED fanboism.

I would love to see a lot of these issues fixed, like AI, damage model, netcode performance, stunning new fx, adding civilian units and a neutral faction, merge to 2.5, and so on.

I just understand, this is already worked on. There is a priority list and it simply takes time.

In parallel other teams and 3rd parties should even start more modules and maps as this can be done in parallel. :)

Hard to say, basically looking forward to any fixed wing module, be it WW2 or 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation jets. F-5E, Viggen, F-18, F-14, Spitfire, and P-47 Im looking forward too though.

But my two favorites are the F-16 (any version would do for me), and the de Havilland Mosquito. Sadly both are waaaay down on any 'published' pipelines.

- Jack of many DCS modules, master of none.

- Personal wishlist: F-15A, F-4S Phantom II, JAS 39A Gripen, SAAB 35 Draken, F-104 Starfighter, Panavia Tornado IDS.

F-14 B or D, FA18C, FA18E/F, AH1W or AH1Z, S-3B Viking, H-60F or H-60R, H-60H or H-60S.

Would pay top dollar for good modules released within a respectable period.

Additionally,

It would probably help things if the DCS crew started advertising in Aviation magazines and at Air Shows.

F-14A/B Tomcats

F4U-1D Corsair

Mi-24P Hind F

A-6E Intruder

A-7E Corsair II

AV-8B(NA) Harrier II

Tu-22M-3 Backfire C

Jaguar GR1/3

Mirage F1EE/BE

I'll end up getting the F/A-18C as well but it is not really on my want list.

LNS have indicated another fast jet after the Tomcat and I'm hoping for something eastern like a Su-17M3/4 Fitter H/K, MiG-23ML Flogger G or MiG-27K Flogger J2... or a third generation American jet like an F-4E/G/J Phantom II, F-105D/G Thunderchief or F-111E/F Aardvark.

Truly superior pilots are those that use their superior judgment to avoid those situations where they might have to use their superior skills.

If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
