At least I'd have something to do, when things are slow... ... There's no consistency as to why some liveries have these boxes and others don't. Oh there's a consistency. I had it in my cockpit that I used empty as the base for canopy scratches and it was all white. Try a windows search in your base DCS folder for empty.tga and delete all instances, including zip folders. You can replace all with the search tool. Please follow Blaze's advice and make sure that every empty.tga file is deleted even the ones in zip files as per Blaze's screenshot above. I had one that was hiding in a zip file from a custom livery that I missed. Only when I included zip files in my search did I find it and this one empty.tga file caused the other aircraft (including stock ones) to display the empty boxes. Hope you get yours sorted. Blaze Posted November 22, 2016 Share Posted November 22, 2016 Here I made 2 different ways to test it. One is just the old empty.tga that goes in TempTextures where the new empty.png is. Place it in there, DCS will use the .tga instead but with no alpha channel so you get a plane white box on bort numbers set to empty in description.lua. Also made a test version of P-51D Bare Metal livery with empty set to false in description.lua and empty.tga included in folder as some livery artists do. There also, you will get the same effect. Ah, correct -this bud not exists in 2.0.4. Appears only 1.5.5 user release. Some explanation. Bug is already fixed in our internal version. Now I want to test this fix on several different custom liveries, which have these white boxes in Open Alpha. I do not understand why this problem (and the similars such as that white-box-bugs) still persist.
