MadDog-IC
awesome, not ungrateful, just what costs you nothing costs me a fortune in bandwidth/data. I get 100gb/pm Feel your pain, I've only recently moved to a 100mb fiber system, and on first signup a few months ago you only get 30gb / month, luckily it then went to 50gb and only just now to 100gb (And all data is counted for both upload and downloads). For this I pay $75 a month. So we are not all so lucky to have unlimited data usage are we. Regards, Ian. shagrat
Weird, i only had to download 16.7 Gb... But you will eventually get there :P Depends on modules owned (get updated), if you already have DCS World release on current patch it copies a good amount from there. And finally if you forgot to deactivate/remove any "mods" it needs to repair the files as well. Typically texture/skin mods inside 'Program files/DCS World' mean a lot of additional download to "fix it". As the current DCS 2.0.4 update to the open alpha brings basically a complete overhaul of the Nevada map and a cumulation of lots of patches to the aircraft, it is huge. :) Shagrat - Flying Sims since 1984 - Win 10 | i5 10600K@4.1GHz | 64GB | GeForce RTX 3090 - Asus VG34VQL1B | TrackIR5 | Simshaker & Jetseat | VPForce Rhino Base & VIRPIL T50 CM2 Stick on 200mm curved extension | VIRPIL T50 CM2 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Plus/Apache64 Grip | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | WW Top Gun MIP | a hand made AHCP | 2x Elgato StreamDeck (Buttons galore)

shagrat
Why not? If he has DCS as well, just copy his DCS World folder and take care to delete modules you do not own before copying it to your PC. Make a backup or rename your original folder, before you replace your install with the copy! Your activations are stored in the registry, so unless you haven't modules present under C:/program files/Eagle Dynamics/mods/ that you don't have a license for, it should work. I did the move to a different PC that way... javelina1
I have 3 installs of DCS, totaling 169GB's. (DCS World, Alpha, and Beta). I moved them all onto a dedicated 250GB SSD. Incredible... can't wait until we merge the streams. (I have my O/S on its own SSD). Plus a 1TB HDD for the "junk". :-) Edited November 20, 2016 by javelina1 MSI MAG Z790 Carbon, i9-13900k, NH-D15 cooler, 64 GB CL40 6000mhz RAM, MSI RTX4090, Yamaha 5.1 A/V Receiver, 4x 2TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, 1x 2TB Samsung 870 EVO SSD, Win 11 Pro, TM Warthog, Virpil WarBRD, MFG Crosswinds, 43" Samsung 4K TV, 21.5 Acer VT touchscreen, TrackIR, Varjo Aero, Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog, Phanteks Enthoo Pro2 Full Tower Case, Seasonic GX-1200 ATX3 PSU, PointCTRL, Buttkicker 2, K-51 Helicopter Collective Control
