At first I thought this was supposed to be a new WIP image with a WIP MI-24 flying over it :megalol:

With Mi-8 available and Mi-24 incoming, I hope the Tskinvali military Heliport north of Gori, will be reproduced as well.

Something seems not right with the gamma values, same as in the winter shots.

Seems fine on my screen, depends on how you have your setup calibrated.

Looks good to me as well.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Will this map come out before the Straight map, or after? Or is progress relatively side-by-side right now?

Unfortunately, the climate change won't allow us snow covered mountain tops.

All the images we receive are WIP images so to be honest I guess there is a possibility that we might see some little snow spots on top of the mountains for a few months.

If you look closely into the distance you can actually see the mountains covered with snow at the top.

i dont think so ;) (images: 2015/2016 winter)

Apologies, I know I'm two weeks late to this party, but is the "climate change" Texac mentions referring to one season progressing to another, or is global warming considered in the design of new maps? If it is the latter, what period or year is the design supposed to reflect?

I have no idea but my experienced eyes tell me that it's warm in those images and that this snow is not going to stay more than 1 day. More like freak snow that happens nearly everywhere every couple of years like in Italy or Spain.

Its easy.

Ask here some Georgian people how often snows in the country.

All I'm going to say now is that I do think the new Caucasus does need more snow during the winter season. We could have 2 winter seasons. Early winter and mid-winter. Just saying.

Apparently in RL there's more snow in the North and east than in the south and west, so a single statement about 'there is or isn't full snow cover in winter' isn't going to catch the truth...

Sochi gets snow (worst month has 4 days on average), but in a normal year the winter temps wouldn't let it stand.

Some town in the high inland mountains gets 7m on average.

Weather stats in images below.

Looks like you could expect to see patches of open ground through most of Georgia over the winter at lower altitudes.
