Bufo Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 size The trailer says 90.000 sq miles. How does that compare with the size of the other maps? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kapsu Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 On video it says 90 000 sq miles but on video description it says 90 000 sq km. Which one is correct? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] DCS Finland - Finnish DCS community SF Squadron
ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted November 10, 2017 ED Team Posted November 10, 2017 Description has been fixed, miles is correct (or nm to be precise). https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page
Nooch Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 It looks beautiful but please I wish they fixed this 21:9 video format. It's just black bars for no reason. I much prefer standard 16:9. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
AKULA_OPTIMUS Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 The trailer says 90.000 sq miles. How does that compare with the size of the other maps? Here are some countries with an area similar to 90.000 sq miles to help compare:music_whistling: Guinea 94,926 square miles United Kingdom 93,638 square miles Uganda 93,072 square miles Ghana 92,098 square miles Laos 91,400 square miles Guyana 83,000 square miles Belarus 80,153 square miles
GC-I4_NieA Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 If I go by the NTTR description on ED website, it state 366 000 sq km. It corresponds to about 134 000 sq nm. So I guess SOH is slightly smaller then.

Nooch Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 21:9 is a Cinematic Standard. It would make sense if the trailer was made for movie theatres but for youtube, come on... It's more a waste of pixels than anything else. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ED Team Glowing_Amraam Posted November 10, 2017 ED Team Posted November 10, 2017 It would make sense if the trailer was made for movie theatres but for youtube, come on... It's more a waste of pixels than anything else. True... but: 1 - I think it looks more cinematic, since 99,9% of my videos are made in a cinematic way anyway. 2 - It actually serves as a good tool during editing. Sometimes I need to frame the shot better, allign stuff more in the center. With the black bars I can move the picture up/down/tilt left and right and not worry too much of any quality loss of the image by zooming in. But hey, maybe for any future "gameplay" videos I can try to remove the bars. We'll see :) 1 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgJRhtnqA-67pKmQ3A2GsgA ED youtube channel https://www.facebook.com/glowingamraam My facebook page

probad Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 21:9 is fine or maybe i too should complain about 16:9 being a waste of pixels compared to 4:3 because my standard is the only one that matters
Mango Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Wow, I can't imagine what the RAM requirements for this map will be. So beautiful.... :)
