The apron in the lower left of the airport and the runway with a parallel taxyway with RETs looks a bit like Tabqa airbase, but the city doesn't fit in. yes, its aleppo. nope its not. drPhibes Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 It doesn't look like Aleppo. The apron on the airport in the screenshot isn't part of the actual airport, and the whole terminal area (from a screenshot a few pages back) is missing from this screenshot.

I served in the Golan Heights (also enjoy very much traveling there). Some of the world greatest battles EVER took place on this map (and south) !!! Most notably the dogfights: Israel 88 - 0 Syria. I sure hope the performance while going low will be as nice as this map is. Ignition Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 The maps in DCS are very small, they should be at least 2 times bigger. I dont think a "world map" would be the best option. If we could have a cluster of maps linked togheter it would be nice. Imagine if we could fly from west of Turkey taking off from a carrier, then go east, then north to Georgia, Ukraine, Russia; or south to Syria, Iraq, Iran to the Persian Gulf. We could do ferry missions for starting campaigns, or even a change in theater during the campaign.

Rabies Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 Afghanistan will be an awesome map for helicopter missions. Deep valleys, turbulent mountain winds, hot and high altitude operating environments. It would be great if in the new maps they could implement brown out situations; even white out in mountain regions, this would add another critical dynamic to helicopter operations.
