ED & Community Managers,

If there is an atomic workaround possible for this in advance of the next update, please furnish it. This is limiting what appears to be the entire spectrum of DCS aircraft to daytime only flights.

Thank you!

I seem to be in the minority, but I like the monocle night vision. Enables me to work outside and inside the aircraft without taking off the NVGs. It did "break my brain" at first, but after a few minutes wearing them it was great.

I'm not against this. If I can get used to it, I'll roll with it. But I've gone more than a few minutes so far and I'm not adjusted yet.

Sorry, no cool signature here.

Its workable, however, many people, myself included, have one eye that is much worse than the other one. In my case the right eye (non-nvg) so everything is blurred on the right (for me). it would be better to just have the NVG circle a bit smaller so we can see underneath the illuminated part, for working in the cockpit.

They must be developing the Apache and screwed up the update!

This is a sign!

A righteous sign that our deliverance is near!

The NVG image ain't weirdly offset towards the nose is it?

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

I had no problem with the previous iteration: for working inside the cockpit, I just turned the goggles off for a moment.

Confirm that NVG is only on the left side.

Hope it is a bug. Not a feature, cause i dont want to get blurry or always shut an eye while i am flying with NVG.

Hopefully when ED fix this they can reduce the field of view in VR so we can use the NVG in a realistic manner. One eye monocular nvg operation is crazy I have great respect for anyone who can operate in that manner.

The frenchy's mod used to give you a sliver of standard view at the bottom. The times I've had NVG's on that's how I remember it. You can lift your head & 'peek' underneath.

I'll take NVG's in both eyes and run away happy but if that's possible, it would stick the landing for me like Kerry Strug.

This issue persists in the latest update released today.

Could I persuade one of the community folks confirm this is being treated as a bug and not a feature that is intended to remain?

Thank you,

/Fargo

This is the bugs section. I assume it’s monitored. Can anyone confirm that?

Hi all and thanks for the PM fargo007

I don't have VR so can not reproduce for a report, I have asked VR testers to take a look.

So, after having been flying with this setup for a bit, I've gotten used to, and dare I say, grown fond of it. I can see outside and in the cockpit without having to switch anything, or try to peer under anything. Is there a way to make this setup "optional" if there's a "fix" implemented? Yes, initially, I found it rather disconcerting, however I now do rather enjoy it.

Sorry, no cool signature here.

Leave the option - Please?

Like the last post in this thread (that I read), this initially was giving me headaches but I assumed it was intentional;

You can see in and out of the cockpit equally well just by switching your eye dominance. Also, my actual NVG works this way and I get the same functionality in RL. I'm aware you can get binocular NVGs but there are significant disadvantages (and cost).

While this may be a mistake here, I'd love to have the option to keep it this way after the "fix" is put in.
